The purpose of the study is to systematically implement the educational programmes for primary school teachers to teach how to play a ukulele by utilising ostinato and bordun that is one of the Orff's music trainings. The theoretical background regarding the development of ukulele education programmes using ostinato and bordun includes the structure of ukulele musical instrumemts, the kinds of ukulele, the correct postures in playing a ukulele by conducting literature reviews in a research as well as a pilot study. The educational effects of ukulele were also carried out. Furthermore, the concepts of ostinato and bordun, music training methods, and teaching strategies were investigated. The educational program of Ukulele is designed with the annual beginner courses composed of 22 contents. Each music material is based on two specific lessons which provide the exmaples of Ostinato and Bordun to help students to understand Ukulele. The study suggests that young students have the aesthetic experience of music utilising Ostinato and Bordun through the Ukulele educational program.

본 연구는 초등학교 방과 후 학교에서 운영되고 있는 음악관련 프로그램의 하나인 우쿨렐레 를 오르프 교수법 중 하나인 오스티나토 및 보르둔을 활용하여 보다 체계적인 교육프로그램을 개발함으로써 교사가 실제 수업현장에 적용해서 지도할 수 있도록 하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 오스티나토 및 보르둔을 활용한 우쿨렐레(Ukulele) 교육 프로그램 개발에 대한 이론적 배경으 로는 문헌 연구·선행연구를 통하여 우쿨렐레 악기의 구조와 종류, 연주자세에 대해 살펴본 후 우 쿨렐레의 교육적 효과에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 오스티나토 및 보르둔의 의미, 지도법, 수업방법 에 대해 조사하였다. 우쿨렐레 교육 프로그램은 총 22차시 분량의 초급단계 연간 수업계획으로 설계하였다. 제재곡 마다 오스티나토 및 보르둔의 예를 제공하여 학생들이 쉽게 이해하고 활동할 수 있도록 하였으며 구체적인 2개의 수업 지도안을 제시하여 교육현장에서 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 오스티나토 및 보르둔을 적용한 우쿨레레 교육프로그램으로 인해 아동들 이 진정한 미적 체험을 할 수 있도록 교육 현장에서 적극적으로 활용되기를 기대한다.
