- With the prolonged COVID-19 infection, the tourism industry in Busan is hitting a direct hit. Also, as most airline routes have been abolished, promotions such as fairs and briefing sessions to attract foreign tourists are virtually impossible. Due to the ban on entry from Japan and China, which account for the majority of foreign tourists, Busan is entering the stage of destruction of the tourism industry in Busan. Recognizing the recent situation seriously, the Busan Research Institute published a study that "Busan tourism industry should make public-private cooperation tourism products in the short term." In addition to the literary works mentioned through research, Haeundae in Busan has been a stage for numerous novels and movies, and compared to the case of Atami, Japan, it has qualitative and quantitative resources that are comparable to Busan tourism contents.
