- The dictionary 《Xiandai Hanyu Cidian》is one of the most popular dictionaries among the Chinese. Although the dictionary is well written, we can still find some problems in it. 《Xiandai Hanyu Cidian》describes “YIhu Xunchang” in a fixed structure. Other dictionaries published in China follow this, but I do not agree with them. There is a term “Yiyu” which is similar to “Yihu” in Modern Chinese, some dictionaries like 《Zhongchao Cidian》and 《Xiandai Hanyu Guifan Cidian》argue that “Yiyu” is a verb, then I think that “Yihu” is also a verb. According to my research, in many sentences composed of “yihu”, it acts as a predicate. So I argue “Yihu” as a verb in the structure of “Yihu Xunchang”
