Today, we live in a global community that is very different from the past. The development of public transport has caused many changes in spatial distance. Futhermore, through the internet(cyberspace) with online communities such as facebook, youtube, and smart phones (SNS), we live in an interconnected world of global networks. This kind of world can be expressed in various terms such as 'global village', 'world risk society', and 'glocalization'. Now, 'globality' which has become the necessary condition of human conduct, has brought about various impacts, such as the economic global network as well as multicultural experience, the problem of poverty in the global dimension, global environmental destruction, and cultural conflicts in local places. Globalization can be seen as a 'new confusion' in the sense that it causes the mixture of capital, culture, technology, and politics. It also involves the formation of a new way of finding personal identity. This article describes four phenomenons of glocalization: placepolygamy(Ortspolygamie), cultural pluralism, electro-agora's formation, and the symbiotic social network. And in analyzing these phenomenons, I mention that the most important problem of glocalization is the threat of meaninglessness of individuals. However, at the same time, I try to find therein whether selfexpression as a new way of the self identity is possible. In conclusion, I will show the way to overcome this threat of glocalization. This is the way for citizens of the global civil society(the cosmopolitan) based on the norm of, "think globally, act locally".

오늘날 우리는 과거와는 다른 지구공동체 속에 살고 있다. 대중교통수단의 발달로 인한 공간적 거리의 변화뿐만 아니라 컴퓨터나 인터넷, 페이스북, 유튜브, 스마트폰(SNS) 등 대중매체의 사용 및 새로운 가상공간에서의 만남을 통해 전 세계가 하나의 그물망으로 연결되는 세계 속에 우리는 살고 있다. 이러한 종류의 세계는 ‘지구촌’, ‘세계위험사회’, ‘지구지역화’ 등과 같은 용어로 표현될 수 있다. 이제 회피할 수 없는 인간 행위의 조건이 된 ‘지구성’은 경제적 지구 네트워크, 다문화적 경험, 지구적 차원에서의 빈부문제, 지구적 환경 파괴, 지역에서의 문화적 갈등 등 다양한 방식으로 우리에게 영향을 미친다. 지구화(세계화)란 자본, 문화, 기술, 정치 등이 혼합되는 ‘새로운 융합’을 보이고 있는데, 다른 한편으로 이에는 새로운 방식으로 자아 정체성을 발견하는 문제가 야기되기도 한다. 이 논문은 ‘복수지연성’, ‘문화 다원주의’, ‘전자 아고라의 형성’, ‘공생적 사회적 네트워크’ 등 지구지역화의 네 가지 현상을 분석하며, 지구지역화의 가장 중요한 문제 가운데 하나가 개인의 무의미의 위협이라는 것을 논의했다. 그러나 이 글은 동시에 새로운 자아정체성을 찾는 방식으로서 ‘자기표현’이 가능하다는 것을 보이고자 했고, 이를 지구지역화의 위협을 극복하는 방식으로 제시하고자 했다. 이는 “지구적으로 생각하고 지역적으로 행위하라”는 규범에 기초한 세계시민사회의 시민이 되는 일이다.
