This article aims to elucidate Wittgenstein’s view of ethics and aesthetics in Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, by taking seriously two main claims regarding the theme: 1) “Ethics is transcendental.” 2) “Ethics and aesthetics are one” It is clear that the first claim is simply a logical consequence of Wittgenstein's notion of ‘absolute value’. However some commentators insist that Wittgenstein’s position cannot coherently be satisfied, since there is an unbridgeable gap between the demand for absolute value and the recognition that whatever subject achieves in the world is utterly without value. In the case of the second claim, some commentators attempt to show that the dictum itself is about similarity of ethics and aesthetic as subjects, considering way of seeing ‘sub specie aeternitatis’ as simply one of the features that both subjects have in common. My main contention is that all the above mentioned interpretations are fundamentally wrong, since the basic feature of ethical and aesthetic perspective cannot be reduced to the facts. To prove this, I will show that ‘attitude’(Einstellung) towards the world seen sub specie aeternitatis is a type of ‘noticing an aspect’ experience.

이 논문은『논리-철학 논고』에 나타난 비트겐슈타인의 윤리학과 미학의 기본 입장을 해명하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 1) “윤리학은 선험적이다.” 2) “윤리학과 미학은 하나다.”라는 주제와 관련된 가장 핵심적인 두 선언을 집중적으로 검토할 것이다. 첫째 주장은 ‘절대적 가치’라는 비트겐슈타인의 개념의 논리적 귀결이라는 것은 분명하다. 그런데 몇몇 주석자들은 절대적 가치의 요구와 세계 내에서 주체가 성취하는 것은 무엇이건 절대적 가치를 지닐 수 없다는 요구 사이에 좁힐 수 없는 간극이 있기 때문에, 비트겐슈타인의 입장은 결코 일관성 있게 만족될 수 없다고 주장한다. 둘째 주장의 경우, 몇몇 주석자들은 ‘영원의 상 아래서’ 보는 방식을 서로 다른 학문 분야인 윤리학과 미학이 공유하는 특징으로 생각하면서 위의 선언 자체가 두 학문의 유사성에 관한 것임을 보이려고 시도한다. 이 논문의 핵심 주장은 윤리적 미학적 시각 모두 하나의 사실로 환원될 수 없기 때문에 상기한 해석들이 근본적으로 잘못 된 것임을 밝히는 것이다. 이 주장은 영원한 ‘상 아래서 보여진’ 세계에 대한 ‘태도’가 다름 아닌 ‘상 주목하기’ 경험의 한 유형임을 밝히고 그것을 응용함으로써 다각적으로 진행된다.
