The Northern Song Dynasty was an important stage of the ancient Yellow River flood in China, and the flood prevention and control activities carried out for this purpose were also quite frequent. The objective existence and development of political systems, political struggles and other factors have led to the Yellow River prevention and control obviously becoming a medium for the struggle of the court officials in the Northern Song Dynasty, and directly influenced and influenced the formulation of the Yellow River prevention and control strategy and the development of the prevention and control activities, which greatly hindered and hampered the Yellow River prevention and control. On the other hand, the occurrence of the Yellow River flood was also viewed by the Northern Song ministe and emperor as a mistake in governance, and promoted some governance measures and the adjustment and improvement of the employment system.

북송 대는 중국 고대 황하로 인한 수재가 자주 일어나던 중요한 시기로, 이를 위한 치수 활동 역시 빈번하였다. 정치체제와 정치투쟁 등 요소의 객관적 존재와 발전은 황하 치수에서 북송 권력투쟁의 매개체가 되었고, 북송의 황하 치수 책략 의 제정과 전개에 직접적 영향을 끼쳤다. 다른 한편으로 황하의 수재 발생은 북 송 군신들에게 정치의 실패로 여겨져, 일부 정책과 관리 임용 제도의 조정과 개 선에 도움이 되기도 하였다.
