The purpose of this study is to explore the process of professional development through the experiences of elementary school sports instructors. To this end, two research participants who worked as elementary sports instructors and graduated from the Graduate School of Education were selected, and the data were analyzed through inductive analysis. As a result of the study, first, in the stage of initiation as a sports instructor, he experienced the beginning as a sports instructor, understanding the school situation, curriculum operation plan, and class preparation. In the second graduate school of education and mathematics course, students were experiencing the preparation for admission to the graduate school of education, the course of the graduate school of education, and communication with the graduates and seniors and juniors. Lastly, through these graduate school mathematics courses, the two instructors were developing their expertise in four aspects. The development process could be explored in four aspects: understanding the school curriculum and physical education curriculum, acquiring knowledge of various teaching and learning methods, understanding various contents of physical education class, and taking responsibility for physical education class. As a follow-up study based on the results of this study, a study on the sports instructor's refresher education program and a study on the policy support direction of sports instructors were presented.

이 연구는 초등학교 스포츠강사의 교육대학원 수학경험을 통한 전문성 발달 과정을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 초등 스포츠강사로 재직하며 교육대학원을 졸업한 연구참여자 2명을 선정하였고, 귀납적 분석을 통해 자료를 해석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 스포츠강사의 길로 입문하기 단 계에서는 스포츠 강사로서의 시작, 학교상황 이해하기, 교육과정 운영계획 및 수업 준비하기를 경험 하고 있었다. 두 번째 교육대학원의 진학 및 수학 과정에서는 교육대학원 입시 준비, 교육대학원 수 업과정, 대학원 구성원들 그리고 선후배들과의 소통을 경험하고 있었다. 마지막으로 이러한 교육대 학원 수학 과정을 통해서 두 강사는 4가지 측면에서 전문성이 발달되고 있었다. 학교 교육과정 및 체육 교육과정의 이해, 다양한 교수학습방법의 지식 습득, 체육수업의 다양한 컨텐츠 이해, 체육수업 에 대한 책임감가지기라는 4가지 측면에서 발달과정을 탐색할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과에 따른 향후 후속연구로 스포츠강사의 보수교육 프로그램의 연구 및 스포츠강사의 정책적 지원 방향에 대 연구를 제시하였다.
