To experience the characteristics of Korean music culture and appreciate its values properly, one must experience various music genres through in-person performance. However, most elementary school music textbooks are composed of percussion-oriented ensemble music, and there is only one piece arranged for melodic instruments. Thus, the study aimed to suggest ways to reconstruct the music textbooks to find Korean music ensemble pieces that can be used in a real elementary classroom. At first, the study reviewed the Korean music ensemble pieces in the textbooks and drew the conclusions on improvements regarding the connectivity of class development and reconstruction plans as follows. For the percussion ensemble pieces, first, if a music piece for in-class use is , should be presented as appreciation materials for advanced learning. In the case of , should be presented. Second, it is effective to link the musical pieces of the same rhythm when a teacher presents a song or an instrumental piece during advanced learning. Third, a discussion is needed on unifying the gueum(口音) method of the samul(四物) instruments, and a detailed description of the gueum method should be specified. Fourth, it is necessary to present performing techniques and rhythmic patterns that can embody the characteristics of the rhythm of the samul janggu. Fifth, for the percussion ensemble pieces for third to sixth grade, different teaching and learning methods should be provided for each grade so that learning connectivity in music contents and performance skills in upper grades can be enhanced. For the ensemble pieces of melodic instruments, the pitch interval of the danso and the sogeum should be reconstructed to the perfect 4th (6律) or the perfect 5th (8律). If the extracted note does meet the grade level, it is desirable to choose notes in the interval of the minor 3rd or the equal note that can be harmonized without being too far apart. Second, in order to present a score suitable for the textbook contents and grade levels, the staff notation should be juxtaposed with yulmyeong(律名) or gueum. Third, string instruments should be included to present string-oriented music or ensembles with various tones. For real performance, however, it is believed that many different methods such as the use of gueum are needed.

우리 음악문화의 특징을 경험하고 가치 인식을 올바르게 갖기 위해서는 직접 연주를 통한 다양한 장르의 음악을 경험해야 한다. 그러나 초등학교 음악 교과서는 타악기 중심의 합주 음악이 대부분이며, 가락악기를 편성한 음악은 단 1곡뿐이다. 이에 초등학교에서 실용할 수 있는 국악 합주곡을, 음악 교과서를 활용하여 재구성하는 방법을 제안하고자 연구를 시작하였다. 그에 앞서 교과서 국악 합주곡을 고찰하였고 수업 전개의 연계성에 대한 개선방안 및 재구성 방법에 대한 결론을 다음과 같이 얻었다. 타악기 합주곡은 첫째, 제재곡이 <사물놀이>일 경우는 선수학습의 감상곡은 <사물놀이>를 제시하고, <풍물놀이>인 경우는 <풍물놀이>를 제시해야 한다. 둘째, 선수학습 내용에서 가창 또는 기악곡을 제시할 경우는 동일 장단의 악곡을 연계하는 것이 효과적이다. 셋째, 사물 악 기의 구음법 표준안에 대한 논의가 필요하며, 구음법에 대한 상세한 설명을 명시해야 한다. 넷째, 사물 장구 가락의 특징을 드러낼 수 있는 연주법과 장단 꼴을 제시해야 한다. 다섯째, 3~6학년의 타악기 합주곡은 학년마다 다른 교수ㆍ학습 방법을 제시하여 음악적인 연계와 학년이 높아질수록 연주 기량을 높일 수 있도록 해야 한다. 다음으로, 가락악기 합주곡은 첫째, 단소와 소금의 부딪히는 음정은 완전 4도(6律) 또는 완전 5도(8律) 관계로 재구성해야 하며, 추출한 음이 학년 수준에 맞지 않는 경우는 간격이 너무 멀지 않으면서도 어울릴 수 있는 단 3도 간격의 음 또는 동일 음을 선택해야 한다. 둘째, 교과서 내용과 학년 수준에 적합한 악보를 제시하기 위해서는 오선보에 율명 또는 구음을 병기(倂記)해야 한다. 셋째, 현악기 중심의 음악 또는 다양한 음색의 합주곡을 제시하기 위해 서는 현악기를 포함 시켜야 하는데, 실연(實演)을 위해서는 구음을 활용하는 방법 또는 그 외의 다양한 방편 모색이 필요하다고 보았다.
