The purpose of this study was to find out whether the Road Drawing Test can be used as a test tool to grasp the meaning of the life of an alcohol use disorder through the response characteristics of the road picture according to the meaning of the life of the patient with alcohol use disorder. The subjects of this study were 129 people in hospitals specialized in alcohol treatment in the metropolitan area. As a research tool, Road Drawing Test and a measure of meaning in life were used, and cross-analysis was performed for data analysis. The results of the study are as follows: First, the response characteristics of the picture indicators of the Road Drawing Test according to the meaning of life of patients with alcohol use showed significant differences in the number of colors used, detailed description, overall mood, state of the road, slope of the road, and direction of the road. Second, the response characteristics of the PDI indicators of the Road Drawing Test according to the meaning of life showed significant differences in the picture title, the time in the picture, the season in the picture, the feeling of the road, and the direction of the road. Through these research results, it was confirmed that the Road Drawing Test could be used as a test tool to grasp the meaning of life of patients with alcohol use disorder.

본 연구는 알코올 사용장애 환자의 삶의 의미에 따른 길 그림의 반응특성을 통하여 알코올 사용장애 환자의 삶의 의미를 파악할 수 있는 검사도구로 길 그림검사가 활용 가능한지 알아 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 수도권에 소재한 알코올 치료 전문병원에 입원 중인 129명을 대상 으로 하였다. 연구도구는 길 그림검사, 삶의 의미 척도를 사용하였고, 자료분석은 교차분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 알코올 사용장애 환자의 삶의 의미에 따른 길 그림검사의 그림지표 반응특성은 색채 사용, 세부 묘사, 전체 분위기, 길의 상태, 길의 경사, 길 향한 곳에서 유의미 한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 삶의 의미에 따른 길 그림검사의 PDI지표 반응특성은 그림 제목, 그 림 속 시기, 그림 속 계절, 길의 느낌, 길의 방향에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통하여 길 그림검사가 알코올 사용장애 환자의 삶의 의미를 파악하는 검사도구로 활용 가능성이 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
