The purpose of this study was to propose the optimal direction for liberal arts education during the coronavirus pandemic. The arrival of COVID-19 precipitated an era of acute disconnection at all levels: nation to state, continent to continent, region to region. Even communication and connectivity themselves have been subjected to great risk. In the midst of this tremendous change, liberal arts education in general must serve as a kind of compass for societal response. With the onset of the pandemic, three directions for appropriate liberal arts education were suggested. First, a new value chain was proposed for education. This perspective suggested that a new order is needed that addresses the importance of the ecosystem, the role of globalization, and the consequences of a neoliberal order. Second, seven principles for digital literacy in education were identified. Namely, the ability to utilize digital technology, differentiate digital data, utilize digital content, utilize digital media, create digital-based content, utilize digital communication, and cultivate digital sensitivity. Third, the use of various convergence education methods was advocated. Real-time classes, the use of Zoom, problem-based learning, project-centered learning, focus on reading, and cyber courses were presented as possibilities. These recommendations did not insist on any one of these methods but rather that we use different combinations of methods. With the aim of fostering future talent, the basic approach is to nurture inherent abilities and creative talent in people to enable them to solve the problems of the era. In the education field, it is time to shift the paradigm away from trying to solve our problems in line withoutd ated views of industrial society. Crises present opportunities and there are sure to be important breakthroughs as we respond to take advantage of these opportunities.

본 연구의 목적은 코로나 19 이후 올바른 교양 교육의 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 코로나 19로 인하여 국가와 국가 간 단절, 대륙과 대륙의 단절, 특정 지역과 지역 간 단절, 소통과 연결 자체가 위험한 시대로 변하였다. 교양 교육은 이러한 엄청난 시대변화 가운데서 일종의 나침반 역할을 해야 한다. 코로나 19 이후 올바른 교양 교육의 방향을 세 가지 제시하였다. 첫째, 새로운 가치사슬 교육이다. 생태계의 중요성, 세계화에 대한 반성, 신자유주의 질서 등에 대하여 새로운 질서를 만들 필요가 있다는 것을 제시하였다. 둘째, 디지털 리터러시 교육에 필요한 7가지 즉, 디지털 기술 활용능력, 디지털 데이터 의 구별 활용능력, 디지털 콘텐츠 활용능력, 디지털 미디어 활용능력, 디지털에 기반을 둔 콘텐츠 제작 기술 능력, 디지털 커뮤니케이션활용 능력, 디지털 감수성을 제시하였다. 셋째, 다양한 융복합 교육방식 의 활용을 제시하였다. 실시간 수업, 줌 활용, 문제 중심학습, 프로젝트 중심학습, 독서, 사이버 강좌를 제시하였다. 이러한 다양한 방법 중 한 가지 방법만 고집하지 말고 다양한 방법을 혼용해서 활용해 보기를 권장하였다. 미래 인재 육성 기본 방향은 문제를 창출하고 문제를 해결해 나가는 인재, 창의적인 인재를 육성하는 것이다. 교육에서도 이 좋은 기회에 다시 산업사회 틀에 맞추어 문제를 해결하려 하지 말고 패러다임을 전환할 시기이다. 위기는 기회이다. 기회를 잘 활용할 때 획기적인 발전이 있을 것이다.
