Businesses that fall under the manufacturing industry aim at continued change and innovation as a means to extend sustainable yet steady growth, and such a series of innovation activities are intended to stably secure profit-making for businesses and at the same time establish a proper mid-to-long term management strategy. A stable profit-making strategy involves directly increasing revenue and maximizing business profits based on product sales for products produced, while from an internal level of the business, refers to a state where innovation activities for strengthening manufacturing competitiveness for products produced are ceaselessly continued company-wide.On the other hand, businesses that fell under most of the manufacturing industry in the past have demonstrated relatively lukewarm management innovation for manufacturing competitiveness although recently new light has been shed on its importance. In particular, management innovation has been established as a necessary, ot an optional, element for securing business competitiveness in the production process for light weight automobile frames – an industry based on the process industry. The present study examines the current status of the production process for light weight automobile frames and attempts to draw out factor items for process management through Michael Porter’s Diamond Model, using the SESS technique for the research analysis of each item. Furthermore, the study presents a direction for a roadmap toward strengthening business manufacturing competitiveness by conducting ERRC analysis as a means for businesses to carry out detailed strategy.

제조 산업에 속해있는 기업이 지속가능하면서도 꾸준한 성장을 이어나가기 위한 수단으로 끊임없는 변화와 혁신을 지향하고 있으며, 이러한 일련의 혁신활동을 통해 기업 이윤 창출을 안정적으로 확보하고 동시에 중·장기적 관점에서 올바른 경영전략을 수립하기 하고자 하고 있다. 안정적인 이윤창출전략이란, 생산되어지는 제품에 대하여 제품 판매를 기반으로 직접적 매출액 신장과 기업 이윤의 극대화라 할 수 있으며, 기업 내부적인 차원 에서는 생산되어지는 제품에 대한 제조경쟁력 강화를 위한 혁신활동이 전사적으로 끊임없 이 이어지고 있는 상태를 말한다. 반면 과거 대부분의 제조 산업에 속해있는 기업의 경우 제조경쟁력에 대한 경영혁신은 상대적으로 미온적인 양상을 보여 왔으나 최근 들어 그 중요성에 대해 다시 재조명되어지고 있다. 특히 장치산업을 기반으로 사업을 영위하고 있는 자동차 차체 경량화 제품 생산 공정에 있어 이는 선택이 아닌 기업경쟁력 확보를 위한 필수 요소로 자리 잡아가고 있다. 본 연구는 자동차 차체 경량화 제품생산 공정에서 생산 공정현황을 고찰하고, 마이클 포터의 다이아몬드 모델을 통해 공정 운영에 대한 요인항목을 도출하고자 하였으며, 각각의 항목에 대한 연구 분석을 위해 SESS 기법을 활용하였다. 또한 기업이 구체적인 전략을 수행하기 위한 방안으로 ERRC 분석을 실시하 여 기업 제조경쟁력 강화 로드맵에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
