Recently, the government raised the risk alert level for infectious diseases from the alert level to the serious level as the number of confirmed coronavirus patients and the number of cases of infectious diseases in multi-use facilities increased rapidly. Following the escalation of the crisis alert level, the need to improve and strengthen the physical security response system to protect assets of the four government complex (Sejong, Seoul, Gwacheon, and Daejeon), which were designated as national important facilities and national security facilities under related laws such as the Security Service Regulations, was strongly requested. As part of efforts to protect assets (people) in the government complex, which is subject to physical security, the government has prepared and operated countermeasures such as measuring access heat through thermal imaging cameras to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, and changing the method of operation of access control systems such as facial recognition systems. In addition, various measures such as changing visitor management methods such as civil petitioners, closing collective sites such as multi-use facilities, suspending the day-of-day system for public institutions, establishing compliance with the use of cafeteria and commuting buses, conducting home and remote work, and practicing social distance keeping are also in place.

최근 정부는 코로나바이러스 확진자 증가 및 다중이용시설에서의 감염병 집단 발생 사례가 급격히 증가함에 따라 감염병 위기경보단계를 경계단계에서 심각단계로 상향조정 하였다. 위기경보단계 격상에 따라 ｢보안업무규정｣ 등 관계법령상 국가중요시설 및 국가보안시설로 지정된 4개 정부종합청사(세종·서울·과천·대전)의 자산보호를 위한 물리보안 대응체계 개선 및 강화 필요성이 강하게 요청되었다. 물리보안의 보호대상인 정부종합청사 내 자산(사람) 보호를 위한 노력의 일환으로 감염병 확산방지를 위한 열화상 카메라 운용을 통한 출입자 발열 측정, 안면인식시스템 등 출입통제시스템 운용방식 변경 등 대책방안을 마련하여 운용하고 있다. 또한 개인 간 접촉 최소화를 위해 민원인 등 방문자 관리방식 변경, 다중이용시설 등 집합장소 폐쇄, 공공기관 승용차 요일제 중단, 구내식당·통근버스 등 이용 준수사항 수립, 재택 및 원격근무 실시, 사회적 거리두기 실천 등 다각적인 방안을 마련하여 병행하고 있다.
