The baptism proclaims the baptized as the one who is united with Christ. As the one united with Christ, the baptized share and must share values, namely the way of life of Christ as well as his identity. The church has traditionally understood that Christ lived and served with the identity of king, priest, and prophet on earth for the Kingdom of God. Since the baptized are united with Christ, they must live like kings, priests, and prophets in this world as Christ did. Then how can the church educate such important facts? As one answer to this, this paper presents a way of explaining it in connection with Lord’s prayer. To this end, the paper first discusses that the Lord’s prayer which historically allowed only to the baptized is a prayer related to the Christian’s identity, that the Lord’s prayer reflects the values of the Kingdom of God, which Christ taught and practiced on earth, and that the Lord’s prayer is not only petitions but also pledges of Christians. Based on these understandings, this paper presents a simple framework to help churches explain the values of Christians by linking the identity of king, priest, and prophet with contents of the Lord’s prayer.

세례는 세례받은 자를 그리스도와 연합된 자로 선포한다. 세례받은 자는 그리스도와 연합된 자로서 그리스도의 정체성뿐 아니라 가치관, 즉 삶의 방식을 공유하고, 또 공유해야만 한다. 교회는 전통적으로 그리스도가 하나님 나라를 위한 왕과 제사장과 예언자라는 정체성을 갖 고 이 땅에서 살며 사역하셨다고 이해해왔다. 따라서 세례받은 자는 그리스도와 연합된 자로서 이 땅에서 그리스도처럼 왕과 제사장과 예언 자로서 살아야 한다. 교회는 이와 같은 중요한 사실을 어떻게 교육할 수 있을까? 본 논문은 이에 대한 하나의 답으로 우리 주께서 직접 가르 치신 주기도(문)와 연결하여 설명하는 방식을 제시한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 먼저 주기도가 역사적으로 세례받은 자에게만 허락된, 그리스 도인의 정체성과 관련된 기도라는 것, 주기도가 그리스도께서 이 땅에 서 가르치고 실천하셨던 하나님 나라의 가치관을 반영하고 있다는 것, 주기도가 하나님 나라에 대한 그리스인의 간구일 뿐 아니라 서약이라 는 것을 논의한다. 그다음에 이러한 논의를 토대로 왕과 제사장과 예언 자라는 정체성과 주기도의 내용을 연결하여 그리스도인의 가치관을 설 명하는 데 도움이 되는 하나의 간략한 틀을 제시한다.
