The purpose of this study is to examine the structural analysis of teacher’s transformational leadership, students’ followership and school satisfaction perceived by the elementary school students and analyze the mediating effect of students’ followership and the moderating effects of the teachers-student exchange(LMX). In order to achieve the research purpose, 870 responses were used for analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, Teacher’s transformational leadership showed positive influence on the students’ followership and school satisfaction. Students’ followership also showed positive influence on the school satisfaction. Second, Students’ followership serves as a partial mediator to the effects of teacher’s transformational leadership on school satisfaction. Third, LMX has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between teacher’s transformational leadership with students’ followership and students’ followership with school satisfaction. Also students’ followership in the advanced group serves as a complete mediator to the effects of teacher’s transformational leadership on school satisfaction. Students’ followership in the lower level group serves as a partial mediator to the effects of teacher’s transformational leadership on school satisfaction.

본 연구는 우리나라 학생들의 학교생활만족도가 타국가에 비하여 낮게 나타나는 결과에 문 제의식을 느끼고, 초등학생들이 인식하는 담임교사의 변혁적 리더십, 학생의 팔로워십, 교사- 학생 교환관계(LMX)가 학교생활만족도에 어떤 영향을 주는지 그 관계를 분석함으로써 교사들 이 학생들의 학교생활만족도를 높이기 위하여 어떻게 학급을 운영해야 하는가에 대한 시사점 을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 담임교사의 변혁적 리더십은 학생의 팔로워십과 학교생활만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 또한, 학생의 팔로워십도 학교생 활만족도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 초등학생이 인식하는 담임교사의 변혁적 리더십이 학교생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 학생 팔로워십의 부분매개 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 담 임교사의 변혁적 리더십이 학생의 팔로워십에 미치는 영향과 학생의 팔로워십이 학교생활만 족도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 교사-학생 교환관계(LMX) 상하집단에 따른 긍정적인 조절효과 가 나타났다. 또한, 학생 팔로워십의 매개효과는 교사-학생 교환관계(LMX) 상위집단에서 완전 매개효과가 나타났고, 하위집단에서는 부분 매개효과가 나타났다.
