The purpose of this study is to examine the research trends of domestic journal articles on elementary school teacher-student relationships and to suggest future research directions. To this end, research trends were analyzed by classifying the number of papers published each year, research subjects, research methods, measurement tools, and related variables, for all 60 papers published in Korean journals. As a result of the analysis, first, research on teacher-student relationships in elementary schools in Korea has been conducted steadily every year, starting with the development of a teacher-student relationship scale for elementary school students in 2003. Second, among study subjects, 80% of the research targeted to students, 13.3% of research targeted to students and teachers, and 6.7% of research targeted to teachers. Third, there were 57 studies (94.9%) for quantitative studies and 3 studies (5.1%) for qualitative studies, and quantitative studies accounted for an absolutely high proportion. When classifying quantitative research by analysis method, structural equations and regression analysis accounted for 49.8%. In qualitative research, phenomenology, cultural journals, and case studies were used as analysis methods. Fourth, the most used measurement tool in the study was the Student Teacher Attachment Relationship Scale (STARS). Fifth, among the variables related to the teacher-student relationship, school adaptation, academic achievement, various emotional variables in the student variable, various variables such as the teacher’s emotions and abilities in the teacher variable, parent attachment in the parent variable, and peer attachment in the other variables are mainly studied. It was used as a variable. Based on the research results, the implications and limitations of this study were clarified, and suggestions for the development of domestic teacher-student relationship research were discussed.

이 연구는 초등학교 교사-학생관계에 관한 국내 학술지 논문의 연구 동향을 살펴보고, 향후 연구의 방향에 대해 제안하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 지금까지 국내 등재 학술지 에 게재된 총 60편의 논문을 대상으로 하여 발행 연도별 논문 수, 연구대상, 연구방법, 측정 도구, 관련변인 등으로 분류하여 연구동향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 국내 초등학교 교사 -학생관계에 관한 연구는 2003년 초등학생용 교사-학생 관계 척도 개발을 기점으로 해마다 꾸준히 이루어져왔다. 둘째, 연구대상 중 학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 전체의 80%, 학생과 교 사를 함께 대상으로 한 연구가 13.3% 그리고 교사를 대상으로 한 연구가 6.7%로 나타났다. 셋째, 양적 연구방법을 사용한 연구는 57편(94.9%), 질적 연구는 3편(5.1%)으로 양적연구가 절대적으로 높은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 양적 연구는 분석방법별로 분류할 때, 구조방정식 과 회귀분석이 49.8%를 차지했으며, 질적 연구에서는 현상학, 문화기술지, 사례연구가 분석 방법으로 사용되었다. 넷째, 연구에서 가장 많이 사용된 측정도구는 학생-교사애착관계도구 (Student Teacher Attachment Relationship Scale: STARS)였다. 다섯째, 교사-학생 관계 관련 변인 중 학생 변인에서 학교적응, 학업성취, 다양한 정서적 변인이, 교사변인에서는 교사의 정서, 능력 등 다양한 변인이, 부모변인에서는 부모애착 그리고 기타변인에서는 또래애착이 주로 연구의 변인으로 사용되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 지니는 의미와 제한점을 밝히 고 국내 교사-학생관계 연구의 발전을 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
