The purpose of this study is to dissect researches of the "Peace Regime" in the fields of North Korea and Korean unification. In addition, alternative measures to secure the scalability and sustainability of research on the peace regime in the Korean society will be analyzed. For this purpose, this research was conducted by collecting and analyzing papers under the theme of 'Peace Regime' among academic papers registered on the KCI website of the Korea Research Foundation. The articles used for this study were published between the time period of January 1999 to December 2019. As a result, a total of 103 papers were collected, and this study focused on the 'Topic Modeling Analysis' using “NetMiner 4” on 81 Korean Abstract papers. According to the analysis, research on the peace regime was conducted on five key topics: ▲ study on denuclearization and peace agreement between North Korea and the U.S., ▲ study on the situation around the Korean Peninsula and military strategy between the U.S. and China, ▲ study on the establishment of a peace regime and arms control, ▲ legal consideration on the peace regime, and ▲ study on the North Korean nuclear issue. To sum up, it is important to create an environment where peace regime research can be carried out continuously, with research results being concentrated at certain points in time, because of the symbolism and importance of the theme of "Peace Regime on the Korean Peninsula."

본 연구는 북한‧통일 분야에서 ‘평화체제’를 주제로 한 학술연구가 어떻게 연구되고 있는지 분석하고, 한국사회 내 평화체제 연구의 지속성 및 확장성을 확보하기 위한 방안이 무엇인지 분석한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 1999년 1월부터 2019년 12월까지의 기간 동안 한국연구재단의 한국학술지인용색인(KCI) 홈페이지에 등록된 학술논문 중 ‘평화체제’를 주제로 한 북한‧통일 분야의 논문만을 수집하여 분석을 진행했다. 자료수집 결과, 총 103편의 논문이 수집됐으며, 본 연구는 이 중 국문초록이 있는 논문 81편에 대해 ‘NetMiner 4’를 활용한 ‘토픽 모델링(Topic Modeling) 분석’을 실시했다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 평화체제 관련 연구는 ▲북미 간 비핵화와 평화협정에 관한 연구, ▲한반도 주변 정세 및 미중의 군사전략에 관한 연구, ▲평화체제 구축과 군비통제에 관한 연구, ▲평화체제에 관한 법률적 고찰, ▲북핵 문제 관련 연구 등 5가지의 핵심 주제에 대해 이루어지고 있었다. 결과를 종합하면, '한반도 평화체제'라는 주제가 가지는 상징성과 중요성에 비해 연구가 활발히 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 연구 성과도 특정 시점에 집중적으로 나타나는 등 한계점이 있으니 이를 보완하여 평화체제 연구가 지속적으로 이뤄질 수 있는 환경을 마련하는 것이 중요할 것으로 보인다.
