This research has investigated the relationship between the experience of multi-cultural education and multi-cultural acceptance, and the research verified the relationship through the mediated effect of human rights sensitivity. Collected data were processed with the descriptive analysis to understand the major factors. According to the result, the Army officers received multi-cultural education mostly through the mass media among the Army, school, and mass media. The subjective evaluation of the multi-cultural education was highest for the mass media. On the contrary, both the existence of the education and the subjective evaluation were shown as the lowest for the Army. The human rights sensitivity was below medium, and the multi-cultural acceptance was slightly above medium. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects on the multi-cultural acceptance. As a result, the experience of the multi-cultural education in school, evaluation of multi-cultural experience in the Army, school, and mass media, and human rights sensitivity were shown as major factors. As a result of verifying the mediated effect of Baron and Kenny(1986), the human rights sensitivity was shown to fully mediate in the relationship between the experience of multi-cultural education in school and multi-cultural acceptance. Additionally, the human rights sensitivity was shown to partly mediate in the relationship between the evaluation of multi-cultural education on the mass media and multi-cultural experience. Thus, the core factor in the preparation of the Army officers for the multi-cultural Army was discovered to be the multi-cultural acceptance. It is arguable that the alternative for multi-cultural acceptance is the effort to improve multi-cultural education and human rights sensitivity.

본 연구는 다문화 군대에 대비하여 군간부의 다문화교육 경험이 다문화수용성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 탐 색하고, 그 관계를 인권감수성의 매개효과를 통해 검증하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계를 실시하여 주요변 수에 대한 정도를 파악하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 군간부의 다문화교육 경험 유무는 군대, 학교, 대중매체 중에서 대중매체를 통해 다 문화교육을 가장 많이 받았고, 다문화교육에 대한 주관적 평가 역시 대중매체가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났 다. 그와 반대로 경험의 유무 수준과 주관적 평가가 가장 낮은 것은 군대인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인권감 수성은 중간 이하의 수준이었으며, 다문화수용성은 다른 집단에 비해 다소 높은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향들을 알아보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 주요변수로는 학교 다문화 교육 경험 유무, 군대·학교·대중매체 다문화교육 경험 평가, 인권감수성으로 나타났으며, 일반적인 특성 에서는 외국인 친구, 다문화교육 필요성인 것으로 나타났다. Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 검증 결과 인권감수성은 학교 다문화교육 경험 유무와 다문화수용성과 의 관계에서 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대중매체 다문화교육 경험 평가와 다문화수용성과의 관 계에서 인권감수성은 부문매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 군간부들의 다문화 군대에 대비한 핵심적 요 소가 다문화수용성임이 밝혀진바 그에 대한 대안이 바로 다문화교육과 인권감수성 향상을 위한 노력이라 볼 수 있다.
