Our work combined two approaches. First, qualitative analysis of the instrumental genesis aimed at validating the choice of problem, making it possible to develop an argumentative discussion and to analyze the effects of the use of the schemes of Knoware (software for constructing collaborative concept map) on interaction types and on the quality of collaborative problem solving. Second, a test aimed at comparing the effects of two types of synchronous software, one linear discussion software, chat, and Knoware, on the development of critical and creative thinking, quality of argumentative interaction, performance of problem-solving, and type of arguments. This experiment was carried out with a total of twenty students: five paired groups using chat, and five paired groups using the Knoware. The results showed that students who used the Knoware demonstrated better argumentative interactions and had a better tendency to solve problems related to the dependent variables. This work contributes to the design of collaborative software dedicated to development of reflective thinking.

본 연구의 목적은 두 가지로 나뉜다. 첫 번째 목적은, 질적인 방법의 예비연구로서, “도구적 발생”(Genese instrumentale, Rabardel, 1995)의 측면에서, 세 요인들 - 컴퓨터화된 컨셉맵 협력구성도구, Knoware 의 특성, 실시간 온라인 협력학습에 참여한 두 명의 조원, 학습과제의 특성- 간의 상호 작용의 양태를 분석하여 논증적 토의를 활발하게 유발하는 협력학습 과제를 분석하는 것이었다. 두 번째 목적은, 실험을 통하여, 실시간 온라인 협력문제해결과정에서, 선형적 텍스트 표상의 커뮤니케이션 도구, Chat와 비교 했을 때 Knoware가 고차적 사고 개발에 미치는 영향을 네 가지 면(비판적/창의적 사고 개발, 논증적 상호 작용의 개발, 협력문제 수행결과, 개발된 논증타입) 에서 분석한 것이었다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, Chat을 사용한 조원들과 비교했을 때 Knoware을 사용한 조원들이 논증적 상호 작용 개발 면에서 유의미하게 우수하였고, 또, 주어진 문제와 연결된 종속 변인들을 더 잘 찾아내는 경향을 보였다. 그러나 비판적 사고와 창의적 사고의 개발과 논쟁타입에는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조원들이 구성한 Knoware의 활용의 지적 도식의 수준과 협력 문제 수행 결과 간의 밀접한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 비 구조화된 문제해결을 통한 고차적 사고 스캐폴드로서 컨셉맵을 설계할 때 고려해야 할 점들을 제시 할 수 있었다.
