Using the methods of theme film research and case studies to explore Korean disaster film, it is found that in the process of developing disaster film, South Korea has not only borrowed from the model of Hollywood disaster film, but also incorporated Korean culture to form its unique theme. Means and distinctive local characteristics. The Korean government has given policy a lot of creative space for the film, which also makes it possible for South Korean disaster-type films to reflect social reality through disaster narratives, and it has certain social criticism. Disaster film is not only an expression of art but also a true portrayal of life. It is an artistic expression of the real world, an artistic portrayal of the fear of human beings facing disaster, and an artistic analysis of the human nature in the event of a disaster. Korean disaster-themed films more profoundly show the contradictions and conflicts between people, society and nature. This article makes an in-depth discussion of the prosperity phenomenon of Korean disaster films, summarizes several framework theories of Korean disaster film research through specific case analysis, and systematically sorts out the formation and development of Korean disaster movie films, focusing on narrative Starting from three perspectives: content, artistic acceptance and means of expression, the aesthetic value of Korean disaster films is analyzed.
