Chinese opera has adapted western dramas since the middle of the last century. This is a dramatic phenomenon in the context of China's reform and opening up, increasingly frequent cultural exchanges between the east and the west, and faster and faster world integration. In the field of Sichuan opera, there is also such an attempt, that is the Sichuan opera named screenwriter Xu fen based on the American drama master Eugene O'Neill's “Desire under the elm” the adaptation of the Sichuan opera “Craze for the sea”. From drama to drama, this is not only a dramatic transformation, but also a new attempt of Chinese and western culture. We from the text to the stage of contrast of the two works, you can see the different between western drama and Chinese opera arts, compared with the two different, more from differences allows us to better grasp the efforts needed for this kind of drama adapted, let our opera writers in absorbs the essence of the foreign classics, can better to reduce or shift, differences make work better to complete the localization transformation, its own national characteristics.

중국희곡은 지난 세기 중엽부터 서양연극을 각색하기 시작했다. 이것은 중국에서 개혁개방, 동서양 문 화교류가 날로 빈번해지고 세계의 일체화 과정이 빨라지는 배경 아래 나타나는 연극 현상이다. 또한 사 천극계에서도 이런 시도를 하고 있다. 그것은 바로 사천극 서분(徐棻)이라는 명작가는 미국 유진오닐 (Eugene O'Neill)의 <느릅나무 밑의 욕망>(Desire Under The Elms)으로 각색하고 사전연극 <욕해광조>를 만들었다. 화극(话剧）작품부터 희곡 작품까지 변화하는 것은 연극 장르의 큰 변화가 뿐만 아니라 중서 문화를 넘어선 새로운 시도다. 이 두 작품의 텍스트부터 무대까지의 비교를 통해서 서양 연극과 중국 희 곡 예술의 차이를 볼 수 있다. 그로인해 앞으로 이런 장르의 작품을 각색하는 데에 더 개선해야 할 부분 과 외국 고전 작품의 정화를 흡수하여 그 차이를 줄이거나 전환하고 본토화를 더 잘 완성하며 우리 민족 특색으로 변화시킨다.
