This study aims to sort typology and analyze characteristic of each type. Major subjects were composed of freshmen at conservatory. Q-methodology was used to categorize psychological subjectivity to objectivity. P-samples were asked to distribute Q-cards. Eleven P-samples were taken out which had errors such as duplicate numbers or missing numbers and then processing the data was made up of valid twenty eight P-samples. The following result was generated by using principal component factor analysis of QUANL PC program. Practical dance major students’ cognition of bachelor’s degree course was divided into three groups: the first is major-questful type, the second is stability-centered type, and the last is knowledge-questful type. We expect that practical dance major will keep popular by understanding students’ needs and applying the course through this study rather than temporary trend.

이 연구는 실용무용 전공생의 학사과정에 대한 인식을 유형화하고 각 유형의 특성 을 분석하는데 목적을 둔다. 연구 대상자는 실용무용을 전공으로 하는 콘서바토리 1 학년들이 주요 구성원이다. 심리적 주관성을 객관적으로 유형화하기 위해 Q 방법론을 사용하였다. 자료처리는 P 표본(39명)에게 Q 분류를 하도록 한 후, 번호가 중복되거 나 빈칸이 있는 오류 11개를 제외하고 유효한 28개로 결과를 구성하였다. QUANL PC program의 주인자분석법(principal component factor analysis)을 이용하 여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 실용무용 전공생의 학사과정 인식은 세 가지 유형 으로 분석되었다. 첫째, 전공탐구형, 둘째, 안정중심형, 셋째, 지식탐구형이다. 이 연 구를 통해 학생들의 요구를 파악하고 교육 과정에 적용함으로써 실용무용과가 한때의 유행이 아니라 지속적인 인기 학과로 자리 잡기를 기대한다.
