With the advent of the era of the fourth industrial revolution, our society is facing constant changes. It has become more important than ever to have a long-term, balanced view of humans and society in a variety of information and values that have never been experienced in the past. In order to develop core competencies in education of culture of S University, this study primarily analyzed the prior research related to core competencies of other universities, domestic and foreign case studies, the purpose of education of culture of S University, and the current status related to existing core competencies. Next, the core competencies, lower competencies, and questions of liberal education were selected through the first survey of Delphi by 22 internal professors and the second survey of Delphi by 5 external experts. Finally, the work and curriculum manuals were supplemented and completed in conjunction with the core competencies of liberal courses and selected liberal education. Through this process, four sub-capabilities were selected for each of the four core competencies, including communication capabilities, collaborative capabilities, computing thinking capabilities, and creativity capabilities. This study is meaningful in that it has drawn its own core competencies and lower competencies of the liberal curriculum and related questions apart from the core competencies of the existing S university. Through this significance, it is expected that the liberal curriculum of S University and other domestic universities will be further organized and advanced.

4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래에 따라, 우리 사회는 끊임없는 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 과거에는 경험할 수 없었던 다양한 정보와 가치관 속에서 인간과 사회에 대해 장기적이고 균형 잡힌 시각을 갖추는 것이 그 어느 때보다 중요해졌다. 이에 본 연구는 S대학교 교양 교육의 핵심역량을 개발하기 위하여 일차적으로 타 대학의 핵심역량 관련 선행연구, 국내외 사례연구, S대학교의 교양 교육의 목적과 기존의 핵심역량 관련 현황 등을 분석하였다. 다음으로 교양 교육의 핵심역량과 하위역량, 그리고 문항들을 내부 교수 22인에 의한 델파이 1차 조사와 외부 전문가 5인에 의한 델파이 2차 조사 과정을 거쳐 선정하였다. 끝으로 교양과목과 선정된 교양 교육의 핵심역량과 연동하는 작업과 교과목 해설서를 보완·완성하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 의사소통역량, 협업역량, 컴퓨팅적 사고역량, 창의성 역량 등 4개의 핵심역량에 각 4개의 하위역량과 각 하위역량에 4개씩의 문항을 선정하였다. 본 연구는 기존의 S대학교의 핵심역량과 별개로 교양 교육과정의 핵심역량 및 하위역량과 관련 문항을 자체적으로 도출했다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 이러한 의의를 통해 S대학교, 나아가 국내 대학의 교양 교육과정을 더욱 체계화 및 고도화할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
