This thesis aims to review the role and future tasks for Rousseau's naturalistic view of education in the field of unification of education. The conclusions of this study as follows: First, it is thought that Rousseau's nature has three meanings, which are nature as man's nature, nature as developmental stage and nature as an opposing sense of society. The nature as stated above is closely related to freedom. Rousseau's freedom is divided into natural freedom and social freedom and then moral freedom. Rousseau's naturalistic education is composed of negative education and positive education. Second, The aims of naturalistic unification education is to develop an naturalistic man in the society as an ideal man. Third, In this view, It is important to examine how unification education are related in negative education and positive education, human education and unification education, nature education and civil education to specify the meaning of nature and freedom in Rousseau's educational theory. Positive education in naturalistic unification education is the education for developing not only rational power and moral sense but also patriotism and nationalism since the beginning of adolescence.

이 연구는 루소의 자연주의 교육론에 따라 통일교육의 새로운 방향을 제시하 는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 현재 통일교육은 기존 교육체제의 한계와 모순, 왜곡 된 근대화의 문제, 일방적 주입식 교육의 한계를 지님으로 인해 루소의 자연주 의 교육사상으로의 새로운 접근의 필요성이 요청된다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연주의 통일교육의 기본관점으로는 자연, 자유, 자연주의 교육이 있다. 둘째, 자연주의 통일교육의 교육목적은 사회 속의 자연인 즉 분단사회 속의 통 일인(자연인)이며 이를 실현하기 위한 교육적 원리로는 소극적 교육과 적극적 교육의 결합, 자연인교육과 시민교육의 결합, 인간성 교육과 통일교육의 통합의 원리가 있다. 셋째, 자연주의 통일교육의 교육내용은 다음과 같다. 유치원 교육 기는 감각교육을 통한 자연적 발달을 추구한다. 초등교육기는 체험과 경험교육 을 실시한다. 중등교육기는 동정심 고양, 동포애 형성교육 등이 이루어진다. 고 등교육기는 도덕교육으로서 양심계발 교육, 분단 고통 깨닫기 교육 등이 실시된다. 성인교육기는 시민교육, 정치교육, 민족정신 형성 교육이 실시된다.
