This article examined the effectiveness of WTL, which encourages learners of writing subjects to organize what they have learned by writing, to develop learners’ writing skills and learning abilities. Busan University of Foreign Studies conducted a total of eight WTL activities for 42 students in one class of “World Changing Writing” in the second semester of 2019. There were two ways to review effectiveness. First, the level of background knowledge learning in liberal arts subjects was surveyed and the activity sites were analyzed. Compared to the pre-survey, the results of the post-survey were positive, and the contents of the learning activities were also found to internalize the goals of the liberal arts and science classes. Second, understanding various writing genres and understanding the academic writing process of universities were reviewed. On two occasions, the subjects and forms of the thesis were questioned in secret, and the answers were attached to the cyber lecture room to solve common problems as well as individual learners. It was also easier for professors to find directions for maps by allowing learners to further explain what they needed. Of course, the limitations of this study can be cited in that it is difficult to make WTL’s unique characteristics stand out and more verification tools are needed. These parts will be supplemented later through individual interviews with learners.

이 글은 글쓰기 교과목 학습자들이 배운 내용을 글쓰기로 정리하게 유도 하여 학습자의 글쓰기 능력과 학습 능력을 기르는 학습연계글쓰기(WTL)의 효과성을 검토하였다. 부산외국어대학교의 2019학년도 2학기 <세상을바꾸 는글쓰기> 1개 분반을 대상으로 42명의 학생들에게 총 8번의 WTL 활동을 진행하였다. 효과성 검토 방법은 두 가지였다. 첫째, 교양교과목의 배경지식 학습 정도 를 설문조사와 활동지를 분석하였다. 사전조사에 비해 사후조사의 결과가 긍정적이었고, 학습활동의 내용도 교양교과학습의 목표를 내면화한 것으로 드러났다. 둘째, 다양한 글쓰기 장르와 대학의 학술적인 글쓰기 과정 이해를 검토하였다. 두 번에 걸쳐 소논문의 주제와 형식을 무기명으로 질문하는 활 동을 진행하였고, 답변을 사이버강의실에 달아 둠으로써 학습자 개인만이 아니라 공동의 문제를 해결할 수 있었다. 또한 교수자 역시 학습자들에게 필요한 내용을 추가적으로 설명할 수 있게 함으로써 지도 방향을 좀 더 쉽 게 찾을 수 있었다. 물론 WTL만의 특성을 두드러지게 하기 어렵고 검증 도구가 좀 더 필요하 다는 점에서 이 연구의 한계를 꼽을 수 있다. 이러한 부분은 추후 학습자 개 별 면담 등을 통해 보완하고자 한다.
