Based on individual memorials found on epitaphs, this study described the patterns of daily Buddhist rituals and the aspects of various Buddhist rituals from the treatment of illness to deathbed and memorial rites. The study gave examples of daily Buddhist rituals including worship, incense burning, chanting of Buddhist prayers, and formation of a Buddhist association. Other examples provided in the study include those of sutra chanting, those of Buddhist relic cult and pilgrimage, and those of lotus lantern ceremonies for health and longevity. The study also found that Avalokitesvara was highlighted as a major subject in relation to praying for a child and that it was universal to practice the 48 light commandments based on Dharma-net Sutra. The idea of prohibitions day had huge impacts on the daily faith of people during Goryeo along with practice according to the Bodhisattva commandment texts of Dharma-net Sutra. These religious aspects continued on until the days of getting old, getting sick, and passing away and epitaphs contained records about the deceased's religious attitudes according to healing rituals and deathbed rites. The study also described the aspects of memorial rites for the deceased with examples of temporary placement of the body at temples.

묘지명이라는 사찬(私撰) 기록을 바탕으로, 일상 불교 신앙의 양상 및 치병과 임종, 제례에 이르기까지 다양한 신앙의례의 모습을 서술하였다. 일상 신앙의례로서 예불과향화 공양, 염불 실행과 향도(香徒) 결성의 예를 묘지명 기록을 통해 서술했으며, 독경의 일상화와 사리신앙 및 성지참배, 그리고 축성도량의 설행과 수복(壽福)을 위한 연등공양의 예를 기술하였다. 또한 기자신앙(祈子信仰)과 관련해 관세음보살이 주 대상으로부각 되었음과, 『범망경』에 근거한 48경계의 지계 수행이 보편화 되었음을 말하였다. 한편 『범망경』 보살계본에 따른 지계와, 「팔관재계」에 따른 정오 이후의 불식(不食) 등이 행해졌음과 함께 육재일 및 십재일, 『지장보살본원경』에 근거한 재일(齋日) 관념은일상 신앙에 많은 영향을 미쳤음을 말하였다. 이러한 신앙 양태는 노병사(老病死)에 이르기까지 지속되어, 묘지명에는 치병(治病) 내지 임종에 따른 신앙 태도가 기록되었음을 말하였다. 이외에 추선(追善)과 관련해 망자를 위한 사찰 창건 및 독경의 보편화와함께, 권안(權安)의 예를 통해 행해진 망자를 위한 제례의 양태를 서술하였다.
