This study aimed to seek for reorganization measures for public practice centers of vocational high schools through analysis on current status of centers and through empirical analysis of teachers’ perceptions for the settlement of credit system in vocational high schools. To achieve the objective of the study, this paper reviewed prior researches related to the high school credit system and public practice center, and then conducted an online survey based on questions related to public practice center from October 1st to October 31st 2019, targeting 407 teachers working for all 112 research·leading school of high school credit system. Based on the survey results, the reorganization measures of public practice centers for the application of credit system to vocational high schools could be suggested as follows. First, the role of public practice centers would need to be re-established as a credit system support center. Second, there should be measures for credit recognition on the programs completed in public practice center. Third, the system should be reorganized as an independent organization breaking from affiliated unit school. Fourth, the name should be changed to suit the new role and function. Fifth, it would be needed to strengthen the competencies of teachers working for public practice centers. Sixth, it would be necessary to operate various programs focusing on new industries after getting out of affiliation. Seventh, it would be necessary to support for budget and facilities of public practice centers. As this study is limited to the reorganization of public practice centers of vocational high schools, it is additionally asked to have more researches on the space arrangement of classroom and practice room in the future. Meanwhile, as a quantitative research, this study analyzed the limited items such as teachers’ position, types of research·leading school, and school types like specialized vocational high school and meister high school, which is the limitation of this study.

본 연구는 최근 고교학점제의 점진적 시행과 맞물려 직업계고 학점제 안착을 위해 공동실습소 현황을 분석하고 교사 인식에 관한 실증분석을 통해 공동실습소 개편 방안을 정책적으로 모색하고 자 수행되었다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 고교학점제 시설ㆍ공간 및 공동실습소 관련 문헌을 조사하였으며, 고교학 점제 연구ㆍ선도학교에서 고교학점제를 직접 운영하고 있는 전국 직업계고 112개교 재직 교사 407 명을 대상으로 2019년 10월 1일부터 10월 31일까지 공동실습소 관련 문항으로 구성된 온라인 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 결과를 토대로 직업계고 학점제 안착을 위한 직업계고 공동실습소 개편 방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공동실습소는 학점제지원센터로 역할 재정립이 필요하다. 둘째, 공동실습소 이수 프로그램에 대한 학점인정 방안이 요구된다. 셋째, 단위학교 부설에서 탈피한 독립 기관으로서 체제 개편을 시도해야 한다. 넷째, 새로운 역할과 기능에 맞는 명칭 변경이 필요하다. 다섯째, 공동실습소 근무 교사의 역량 강화 방안을 마련해야 한다. 여섯째, 계열성을 탈피하여 신산업 중심의 다양한 프 로그램 운영이 필요하다. 일곱째, 공동실습소 설비 및 예산 지원이 요구된다. 본 연구는 학교 밖 직업계고 공동실습소 개편에 한정된 연구이므로 향후 학교 내 교실 및 실습 실의 공간 배치에 관한 연구가 추가적으로 요구된다. 또한 본 연구는 정량 연구로서 교사의 직위, 특성화고․마이스터고 등 학교 유형, 연구ㆍ선도학교 형태라는 제한된 항목으로 분석을 실시하였다 는 한계를 갖는다.
