The purpose of this study is to clarify the formation process of the text of ≪Hyojado(孝子圖)≫ in Samganghaengsildo by examining the original text of ≪Hyojado≫ and the relationship between original texts and actual texts of ≪Hyojado≫. ≪Hyojado≫ was mainly created with reference to the original texts such as Hyosunsasil(孝順事實), Hyohaengnok(孝行錄), and 24hyodo(二十 四孝圖). In particular, Hyosunsasil(孝順事實) made by King Seongjo(成祖) of the Ming Dynasty seems to have had the greatest influence on the structure and content composition of ≪Hyojado)≫. The C hinese t ext of ≪Hyojado≫ was constructed by omitting various sentence elements, as well as information on the person, place names, times, and contextual inferences. In addition, it can be seen that the Korean text of ≪Hyojado≫ is not only made by translating the Chinese text, but also reflects the contents of various original texts through addition, change, and omission, and sometimes considers pictures. We can analyze the form of citations in the texts of ≪Hyojado≫ as follows： ⅰ) the case when the texts and the poems of Hyosunsasil(孝順事實)are quoted, ⅱ) the case when the texts and the poems of Hyosunsasil(孝順事實) in company with the praises of Hyohaengnok(孝行錄) are quoted, ⅲ) the case when the texts and the poems of Hyosunsasil(孝順事實) without the praise of Hyohaengnok(孝行 錄) are quoted, ⅳ) the case when the texts and the praise of Hyohaengnok(孝行錄) are quoted, ⅴ) the case when the text of Hansiwejeon(韓詩外傳) and the praise out of existence in Hyohaengnok(孝行錄) are used.

본 연구는 언해본 『삼강행실도』 ≪효자도≫의 원전을 살펴보고 원전문과 한문 본 문의 관계, 원전문과 언해문의 관계를 파악해 언해본 삼강행실도 ≪효자도≫ 텍스트의 성립 과정을 구체적으로 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. ≪효자도≫는 주로 『효순사실』, 『효행록』, 『이십사효도』와 같은 원전을 참고해 만들어졌는데, 특히 명나라 성조 (成祖)의 칙찬으로 만들어진 효순사실(1420)은 ≪효자도≫의 체제 및 내용 구성에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 보인다. ≪효자도≫의 한문 텍스트는 인물, 지명, 시대 및 맥락상 유추 가능한 원전의 정보는 물론 다양한 문장 성분들을 생략하는 방식을 통해 구성되었다. 또한 ≪효자도≫의 언해문 텍스트는 한문 텍스트만을 그대로 언해 한 것이 아니라 첨가, 변개, 생략 등의 방법을 통해 여러 원전들의 내용을 반영하고 때론 그림까지도 고려해 구성된 것임을 알 수 있다. ≪효자도≫의 텍스트들은 실제로 효순사실 본문과 시가 인용된 경우, 『효순사실』 본문과 시 그리고 효행록의 찬이 인용된 경우, 『효순사실』 본문과 시 그러나 『효행록』 찬이 빠진 경우, 『효행록』 본문 과 찬이 인용된 경우, 『한시외전』 본문과 『효행록』에 없는 찬이 사용된 경우 등과 같은 인용 유형으로 그 성립 양상을 분석해 볼 수 있다.
