This study criticizes and suggests Alpha Course understanding the Holy Spirit which is focused on holy spirit of Augustine doctrine. The Alpha Course is a modern Gnosticism and Evangelism Program on the line of the New Apostolic Movement. Background of the Alpha Course comes from the movement of the Holy Spirit in Montanus. This misunderstanding of the Alpha Course understanding the Holy Spirit could be attributed to the false doctrine of Holy Spirit which is regarded as a single ministry of the Holy Spirit. In this respect, there is an important theological significance on Holy Spirit of Augustine doctrine. It is the beginning of all theology and Trinitarian Structure, the premise. This research will focus on 「De Trinitate」 introduced in Latin in Augustine, 「On the Trinity」, introduced in English translation and 「Trinity」 introduced in Korean translation. At the same time, in the right understanding of persons upon the Trinity Structure, this study will also look at the ministry of the Holy Spirit by the Unity economy of the Trinity God. According to Augustine confession, "the history of the trinity towards the outside is not separated." The Ministry of the Spirit in modern days will know that is the simultaneous ministry of the trinity, not a single ministry.

본 연구는 현존하는 한국교회 목회현장에서 실행되고 있는 전도프로그램 중의 하나 인 알파코스의 성령이해에 대해서 어거스틴의 성령론을 중심으로 문제점을 비판하고 제언해 보고자 한다. 알파코스는 현대판 영지주의이며, 신사도운동의 연장선의 전도프로그램이라고 할 수 있다. 알파코스의 배경은 몬타누스의 성령운동에서 비롯되었다. 이러한 알파코스의 성령이해에 대한 바르지 못한 이해는 성령의 단독사역으로 보는 잘못된 성령론이 원 인이라고 볼 수 있는 것이다. 이러한 점에서 어거스틴의 성령론이 갖는 중요한 신학적 의미가 있다. 모든 신학의 출발이요, 전제인 삼위일체 구조를 어거스틴의 라틴어로 소개된 「De Trinitate」와 영역본으로 소개된 「On the Trinity」와 한역인 아우구스티누스의 「삼위일체론」( 김종흡역)을 중심으로 살펴볼 것이다. 동시에 삼위일체 구조의 각 위격에 대한 바른 이해 속에서 성령 하나님의 위격 이해와 삼위일체 하나님의 통일적 경륜으로써의 성 령의 사역을 살펴볼 것이다. 그 다음, 어거스틴의 고백대로 ‘외부를 향한 삼위 하나님의 역사는 분리되지 않는다’ 는 입장에서 오늘날 성령의 사역은 단독사역이 아닌, 삼위일체 하나님의 동시적 사역 임을 알게 될 것이다.
