Republic of Korea has been getting over numerous national crises wisely through many wars. Geopolitically, we have had many powerful enemies around us that we mainly went thorough the wars. Therefore, it also led us to remain inferior in military power. We had to overcome inferiorities in strength. Korea had overcome all these disadvantages by sapplying to optimal tactics and adapting to geographical circumstances properly. This was possible because there has always been our own specific "Military thought" And it is not a thing that was achieved in a day, but hard earned result after long-standing efforts and internalization But after the years of Japanese Colonial Period and Independence, we have been under absolute influence of US, and now there is a need for us to ask ourselves that we are properly continuing that spirit. The Nation's Military thought is the spiritual essence which determines the results of war. Therefore, it is our responsibility to review our idea which once led honorable victories and succeed to that tradition in a way to meet the realistic needs of today. In this paper, I will analyze the similarities of victories in our military histories. If the reason of victories has the historic continuity, I think that it has the enough proof of Our Military thought. Based on this idea, I would like to see whether our own Military thought is being maintained and developed by reviewing through current Military organization.

우리나라는 수많은 전쟁을 거치면서 국난을 슬기롭게 극복하여 왔다. 우리의 지정학적 특 성상 마주한 적은 상대적으로 강국이었으며 이들과의 전쟁이 주로 이루어졌다. 그러므로 군 사력에서도 상대적인 열세에 있었으며, 이를 극복하는 것이 가장 중요한 과제였다. 우리는 이러한 불리점을 지형을 적절히 활용하면서, 우리의 실정에 맞는 전법을 적용하여 이를 극 복하였다. 이러한 배경에는 우리 특유의 군사사상이 자리잡고 있었던 결과였다. 이것은 하루 아침에 이루어낸 결과가 아니라 기나긴 세월을 통하여 우리의 내면에 서서히 흡착된 결과물 이었다. 그렇지만 일제강점기와 광복 후 미군의 절대적인 영향을 받는 과정에서 이러한 전 통적인 군사사상이 제대로 그 면면을 이어왔는지 돌아볼 필요가 제기되고 있다. 한 국가의 군사사상은 그 나라 군대의 정신적인 지주이기도 하면서, 전쟁의 승패에 절대적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서 과거의 영예로운 전승을 이끈 우리의 군사사상을 다시 한번 돌아보면서, 그 전통을 현실에 부합되게 계승하는 것이 책무라고 생각한다. 따라서 본 논문에서 다루어 보 고자 하는 것은, 우리의 전쟁역사를 통하여 승리한 전투에서의 공통점을 분석해 보고자 한다. 분석결과 나타난 승리의 요인이 역사적인 연속성을 갖고 있다면, 그것은 우리의 군사사 상이라고 할 충분한 근거를 갖는다고 생각한다. 이를 바탕으로 오늘날 우리군의 내면을 성 찰해 보면서 고유의 군사사상이 유지 발전되고 있는지 성찰해 보고자 한다.
