This study aims to analyze the activities and characteristics of the online communities of the Korean-Chinese on the Moyiza website, which is a representative online community of the Korean-Chinese. The research method was mainly a content analysis of the Moyiza website, and the analysis period was from May 2017 to August 2019. The main results are as follows. First, the Moyiza website plays a role of sharing news information, online shopping, recruitment related information in real-time for the online community, including social gathering and exchange activities among the Korean-Chinese. Second, the Moyiza website is a place where the Korean-Chinese people freely talk and discuss, and communication between each other is being made in various areas. Finally, the online community activities of the Korean-Chinese people loaded on the Best posts are the trivial stories they experience in their daily lives (ex. food recipes, photos, music, etc), which serve to strengthen emotional ties between members. The implications of this study are as follows. First, precise management and operation of the site are necessary to revitalize the online community of the Korean-Chinese. Also considering that the next generation of the Korean-Chinese is increasing, it is necessary to build and operate various versions of the site, such as English, Chinese, and Japanese etc. Second, Government policymakers should actively use the online community operated by overseas Koreans and build an online network, to promote exchange and cooperation between the home country and their resident countries, and also to raise the awareness and identity of overseas Koreans. Finally, in terms of expanding diaspora research, an academic exploration of the community activities and transnational networks of the diaspora in the online space should be activated.

이 연구는 중국조선족의 대표적인 온라인 커뮤니티라 할 수 있는 모이자 웹사이트에서 조선족의 온라인 커뮤니티의 활동과 특성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 모이자 웹사이트의 내용 분석을 주로 했으며, 분석기간은 2017년 5월부터 2019년 8월까지 살펴보았다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모이자 웹사이트는 세계 곳곳에서 살아가고 있는 조선족간의 친목 도모 및 교류 활동을 포함하여 뉴스 정보제공, 온라인 쇼핑, 구인·구직관련 취업 정보 등을 실시간으로 공유하는 역할을 하고 있다. 둘째, 모이자 웹사이트는 조선족들이자유롭게 대화하고 토론하는 장으로써 다양한 영역에서 상호 간 소통이 이루어지고 있다. 마지막으로, ‘베스트 게시글’에 나타난 조선족의 온라인 커뮤니티 활동은 무엇보다 일상생활에서 경험하는 소소한 이야기(음식, 사진, 음악 등)를 서로 공유하고 있으며, 이를 통해 정서적 유대를 강화하고 있다. 이 연구의 시사점은 첫째, 조선족의 온라인 커뮤니티 활성화 측면에서 웹사이트의 세심한 관리 및 운영이 필요하고, 조선족의 차세대들이 증가하고 있다는점에 주목하여 한국어 사이트 이외에 영어, 중국어, 일본어 등 다양한 버전을 구축하여 운영할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 한국정부의 정책입안자들은 모국과 거주국간의 교류협력을 증진시키고, 재외동포의 모국 인식 및 정체성을 제고하는 차원에서 재외동포들이 운영하고 있는 온라인 커뮤니티를 적극적으로 활용하고 온라인 네트워크를 구축해야 한다. 마지막으로 디아스포라 연구의 확장 측면에서 온라인 공간에서 이루어지고 있는 디아스포라들의 커뮤니티활동과 초국적 네트워크 등에 대한 학문적 탐구가 활성화되어야 한다.
