The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of logic education as a general education in universities in Korea. We surveyed courses opened in 2017 at 38 universities. We analyzed the current state of logic education in five categories: the location of the curriculum, the position of the lecturer, course name, and the contents of the lecture. In this study, we found some interesting points. First of all, The most common type of course name was ‘logic-critical thinking.’ Second, regarding the contents of the lecture, the most types were lectures on the entire area of l ogic. Interestingly, there were many lectures of this type, even in courses with the name ‘logic-critical thinking.’ This phenomenon was a sign that there is a need to reconsider ‘critical thinking’ education. Finally, the proportion of lectures that mainly teach formal reasoning is deficient. Reflecting on these results, we suggested that a standardized system for checking learning outcomes is needed.

본 연구의 목적은 전국 대학에서 실시되는 교양교육으로서의 논리교육 현황을 분석하기 위함 이다. 연구 대상은 38개 대학에서 2017년 개설된 강좌들이다. 필자는 담당 교수의 직위, 교과목 이름, 강의 내용 등의 항목으로 논리교육의 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 몇 가지 중요한 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 우선, 교과목 이름과 관련해서는 ‘논리-비판적 사고’ 유형이 가장 많다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 강의 내용과 관련해서는 논리학 전 영역을 강의하는 유형의 강좌들이 많다는 것을 확인하였다. 흥미로운 것은, ‘논리-비판적 사고’ 유형의 이름을 갖는 교과목들에서도 이러 한 유형의 강의들이 많았다는 것이다. 이것은 ‘비판적 사고’ 강좌들의 정체성이 확보되지 못했음 을 보이는 징표로 이해된다. 마지막으로 형식추론을 주로 강의하는 강좌들의 비중이 매우 낮다 는 것 역시 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 반영해서, 필자는 표준화된 학습성과를 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 구축할 필요가 있다는 것을 제안한다.
