The purpose of this study is to read the history of Gaya in the national curriculum from a curriculum literacy and multicultural perspective, reorganize and implement the instruction newly, and present directions of history education based on reflection obtained through this process. The results are as follows. First, the current education on the history of Gaya is focused only on ‘growth as a country’and ‘excellence of our culture.’ Also, it was found that could be the alternative subject material. Second, ‘rewriting’ the history of Gaya could be from the perspective of ‘multicultural education’, ‘multicultural history education’ and ‘doing history.’ As a result, to construct and practice instruction for Elemetary Student was possible. Third, ‘reflecting’ on it, directions of multicultural history instructions and history education was able to be suggested. In conclusion, teachers, students, and the state all must be reborn as true subjects of a multicultural society for multicultural history education that fits the current era.

본 연구의 목적은 교육과정 문해력을 토대로 국가 수준 교육과정의 가야사를 다문화 관점에서 다시 읽 고 수업으로 새롭게 구성하여 실행한 후, 이 과정에서 얻은 성찰을 토대로 다문화 관점에서 역사교육의 방향 성을 제시하는 것이다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, <교육과정 다시 읽기> 차원에서 살펴본 현행 가야사 교육은 ‘국가로서의 성장’, ‘우리 문화의 우수성’에만 치중하고 있었다. 그리고 ‘허황옥 루트 찾기’는 다문화 역 사교육에 좋은 소재가 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, <교육과정 다시 쓰기> 차원에서 국가 수준 교육과정의 가야사를 ‘다문화교육’, ‘다문화 역사교육’, ‘역사하기’의 관점에서 다시 구성하여 실행하였다(‘허황옥 루트 찾기’ 수업). 셋째, <성찰하기> 차원에서 얻은 다문화 역사수업 및 역사교육의 방향성을 제시하였다. 결국, 현 시대에 적합한 다문화 역사교육을 위해서는 교사와 학생, 그리고 국가까지 모두 다문화 사회의 진정한 주체 로 거듭나야 할 것이다.
