This paper tried to connect the researcher's experience in shooting pistol competitions with the researcher's experience, focusing on the autobiographical story of the researcher's challenge to the traditional archery for about three years from September 2016 to 2019. The reason is that, first of all, the equipment used in the two events is divided into guns and live ammunition, bows and arrows, and although the way guns and arrows are operated is different, the art of shooting and bow-making have similarities. Second, the competition style and culture of the two sports had similar characteristics within the common denominator to hit the target, but the traditional archery, rather than shooting, is inheriting and developing the traditional archery own culture. Therefore, it is hoped that this paper will allow one human with sports experience to look at the technology of new sports and how they can adapt to other similar sports using their own culture.

본 논문은 연구자가 2016년 9월부터 2019년까지 약 3년간 국궁(활쏘기) 에 도전하면서 겪었던 자전적 이야기를 중심으로 연구자의 사격 권총경기 선수 경험을 연결하여 두 종목의 다른 점과 유사한 점들을 설명하고자 했다. 그 이유는 첫째, 두 종목에서 사용하는 장비가 총과 실탄, 활과 화살로 나뉘 고, 총과 화살을 작동시키는 방법이 다르지만, 총을 쏘는 기술과 활을 내는 기술은 유사성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 두 종목의 대회 방식과 문화 는 과녁을 맞히는 공통분모 안에서 비슷하게 나타나는 특징들이 존재했지만, 경기종목으로써 사격보다는 국궁이 우리의 민족적 고유의 정서를 전승하면 서 국궁만의 문화를 계승·발전시키고 있기 때문이다. 따라서, 본 논문을 통 해 스포츠 경험이 있는 한 인간이 다른 유사한 스포츠를 접하게 됐을 때 기 존 경험을 새로운 스포츠의 기술과 그 문화 안에서 어떻게 활용하여 적응해 가는지 살펴볼 수 있기를 희망한다.
