This study explores aspects of North Korea's moral education by analyzing the North Korean textbook “Socialist Morality” in the Kim Jong Un era. As a result of analyzing textbooks compared to the textbooks of Kim Jong-Il era, the characteristics of socialist morality textbooks of the Kim Jong-Un era are as follows. First, the cover has been changed to color, and the appearance has changed markedly in the body such as the introduction of more photographs and illustrations. Second, sub-units are now composed of various activities such as those designed to motivate students' thinking, application of daily life, and formative assessment. Third, the emphasis on nationality increased markedly but the number of mentions of leaders decreased significantly. However, the emphasis on the greatness of leaders is still emphasized.

본 연구에서는 김정은 시대 사회주의도덕 교과서를 분석하여 북한도덕교육의 양상을 탐구하였다. 김정일 시대 교과서와 비교하여 초급중학교 2학년 교과서를 분석한 결과, 김정은 시대 사회주의도덕 교과서의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 표지가 컬러로 바뀌고, 본문에서 사진과 삽화가 눈에 띄게 증가하는 등 외형적으로 바뀌었다. 둘째, 학생의사고를 확산할 수 있는 동기유발, 일상생활 적용, 마무리 형성평가 등다양한 활동으로 소단원이 구성되었다. 셋째, 조국애를 강조하는 내용이 눈에 띄게 증가하였고, 지도자 언급횟수는 현저하게 감소하였다. 지도자의 위대성을 부각하는 내용은 여전히 강조되고 있다.
