This study aims to have a psychological understanding of moral expertise, which has recently been discussed in moral psychology. To this purpose, we will first look at studies on expertise that have been produced in such areas as cognitive science and psychology of decision making. Through this, we will identify concepts, types, characteristics of experts and their expertise. And the researcher will look at the moral expertise presented by D. K. Lapsley and D. Narvaez from the perspective of routine and adaptive expertise. Finally, it will be revealed that their discussion of moral expertise is directed toward the integration of rationalism and intuitionism in moral psychology, cognitive-developmental approach and character education in moral education.

본 연구는 최근 도덕 심리학에서 논의가 시작된 도덕 전문성에 대한심리학적 이해를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 인지과학과 의사결정심리학 등의 분야에서 진행되어 온 전문성에 관한 연구를 살펴볼 것이다. 이를 통해 전문성, 전문가 개념과 유형, 특성들을 규명하고, 전문성에 대한 이해를 토대로 랩슬리와 나바에츠가 제시하는 도덕 전문성을반복적, 적응적 전문성의 관점에서 조망해 볼 것이다. 그리고 그들의도덕 전문성에 관한 논의가 도덕 심리학의 합리주의와 직관주의, 도덕교육의 인지발달적 접근과 인격교육적 접근의 통합을 지향하고 있다는것을 밝힐 것이다.
