In what direction should liberalized writing education develop in order to prepare for the future when the landscape of industry and knowledge changes and the power structure of society fundamentally changes? Mindful of these problems, this article examined the problem consciousness and trend of the university’s paper on liberal arts writing published in the Journal of the Korean Literary Society (2002-2019) to assess the future direction of writing education. A full-fledged paper on college liberal arts writing, published in the 『Korean Literary Creation Works, first published in 2002, appeared in 2008. Writing-related papers are steadily appearing, but the impressive fact is that prior to 2008 the writing-education-related papers were limited to literary writing. The emergence of a full-fledged liberal arts writing paper, which appeared in 2008, coincides with the time of the reform and reorganization of liberal arts education in and around 2005. The second paper on writing appeared in 2012, from which point on university writing was completely deviated from the paradigm of literary writing, and the form of research papers in which university liberalized writing became more specialized and detailed. If the research papers published in 2012-2019 are classified as subject-specific, they can be divided into (1) self-reflection and community-oriented writing, (2) criticism and discussion, and (3) discussion of liberal writing curriculum and teaching methods. In order to solve the difficulties of learners, who show varying degrees of variation by level, it has developed a writing education method linked to real life or has led to an effective and reasonable method of guidance, such as a teaching method using a smart media environment.

산업경제의 구조와 지식의 지형도가 바뀌고 또 정치・경제・사회의 세력구조가 근본적으로 변화하는 미래에 대비하기 위한 현재의 글쓰기 교육은어떤 방향에서 전개되어야 할까. 이 글은 이러한 문제를 소재로 하여 한국문예창작학회 학술지 『한국문예창작』(2002~2019)에 게재된 대학 교양 글쓰기 연구의 문제의식과 그 추이를 검토해가면서 미래의 글쓰기 교육의 향방을 가늠해본 것이다. 2002년에 처음 발간된 이래 『한국문예창작』에 게재된본격적인 대학 교양 글쓰기 논문은 2008년에 처음 등장했다. 글쓰기 관련논문은 학술지가 처음 발행된 이래 지금까지 꾸준히 등장하고 있지만, 여기서 확인되는 인상적인 사실은 2008년 이전까지의 글쓰기 교육 논문이 문예창작, 즉 문학적 글쓰기에 할애되어 있었다는 사실이다. 2008년에 등장한본격적인 교양 글쓰기 논문은 2005년을 전후로 한 대학 교양교육의 전면적혁신과 개편을 단행한 시점과 일치한다. 두 번째 글쓰기 관련 논문은 2012 년에 등장했는데, 이때부터 대학 글쓰기 관련 연구는 문학적 글쓰기의 패러다임에서 완전히 벗어난 동시에 대학 교양교육 글쓰기가 보다 전문화・세분화한 형태로 진행되었다. 2012년~2019년에 게재된 연구논문을 주제별로한정해서 분류해 보면, (1) 자아 성찰과 공동체 지향의 글쓰기, (2) 비평과토론, (3) 교양 글쓰기 교육과정과 교수법에 대한 논의로 나누어볼 수 있다. 현재는 수준별・계열별로 다양한 편차를 보이고 있는 학습자들의 곤란함을해소하기 위해 실생활과 연계된 글쓰기 교육법을 개발하거나 스마트 미디어 환경을 이용한 교수법과 같이 효율적이고 합리적인 지도방법에 대한 실천으로 이어지고 있다.
