In Korea, the reckless development of characters by local governments makes it a uniform form that does not make one's personality felt in general, and in the case of a water city, it is no different. The effective use of local government characters not only grows the local cultural industry and creates added value, but also raises friendliness in the region, so strategic technology is needed for this purpose. In that way, we looked at the shape of the Suburban character, focusing on the imbeciles and epithets, and the casting colors of the material and color. And the character's face was based on the study by looking at the features of his or her facial features and researching leading research data and websites operated by a nursing city. As a result, most have similar plastic features and in order to be differentiated, it is necessary to introduce individual and original elements such as the shape, color and material of unique images. In addition, we looked at the regional differences and looked at the problems needed to utilize the plastic features of the character form. Naturally, characters well equipped with the formative beauty and function of characters that look beautiful can meet the needs of the local people and expect high recognition. In this study, we analyze the composition of the water city characters of local governments to find out how they can be utilized from a long-term perspective. Through this, we hope to contribute to the development of characters by local governments.

우리나라는 지자체의 무분별한 캐릭터의 개발로 전 반적으로 개성이 느껴지지 않는 획일적인 형태를 보 이고 있으며 수부도시의 경우에도 다르지 않다. 지자 체 캐릭터의 효과적인 활용은 지역의 문화산업을 성 장시키고 부가가치를 창출할 뿐만 아니라 지역에 친 근감을 상승시키기 때문에 이를 위한 전략적인 기술 이 필요하다. 그 방법으로 수부도시 캐릭터의 형태를 등신과 비례를 살펴보고 재질, 색채의 주조 색을 중 심으로 살펴보았다. 그리고 캐릭터의 얼굴을 조형적 특징을 이목구비 중심으로 살펴보고 선행된 연구 자 료와 수부도시가 운용하는 웹사이트를 조사하고 활용 하여 연구의 기초로 하였다. 결과적으로 대부분이 비 슷한 조형적인 특징을 가지고 있으며 차별성을 가지 기 위해서 독특한 이미지의 형태와 색, 소재 등의 표 현방법을 개성적이고 독창적인 요소의 도입이 필요하 다. 또한, 캐릭터 형태의 조형적인 특징이 지역적인 차이점에 대해서 살펴보고 활용하는데 필요한 문제 점을 살펴보았다. 당연히 아름다운 형태로 보이는 캐 릭터의 조형미와 기능을 잘 갖춘 캐릭터가 지역민의 요구를 충족시키며 높은 인지도를 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 지자체의 수부도시 캐릭터의 조 형성을 분석하여 장기적인 관점에서 캐릭터를 활용할 수 있는 방법을 알아본다. 이를 통하여 지자체의 캐 릭터 개발에 자료로 활용하는 데 이바지할 수 있기를 기대한다.
