This study is intended to look into the effects of university students’ career exploration on their career decision and employment preparation behavior. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to university students. The findings showed that their career exploration had a significant effect on their career decision and employment preparation behavior, and their career decision had also a significant effect on their employment preparation behavior. And their career decision was mediated in the effect of their career exploration on their employment preparation behavior. Which means that they can make their concrete career decisions and do their active employment preparation behaviors by improving their career exploration activities, and they should enter university to begin their career exploration and employment preparation at the time of the lower grade when their major is appointed under the difficulties and high barriers in their employment; All of them are having common difficulties finding employment across all grades from admission to graduation. In other words, personal characteristics such as personality and gender as variables, which the existing studies explain the career decision in relation to the employment preparation behavior, have been primarily used in the previous studies. But career decisions through the job understanding can promote concrete and practical activities in real terms of employment preparation behavior, rather than personal characteristics choosing a job or deciding a career in the face of rapid social change and extreme unemployment problems. As a result, university students’ career exploration had a positive effect on their career decision and employment preparation behavior, confirming that it was a factor to perform their employment preparation behavior, and demonstrating that their career decision was partially mediated in their career exploration.

본 연구는 대학생의 진로탐색이 진로결정과 취업준비 행동에 미치는 영향력으르 밝히는데 목적을 두고 실증 조사하였다. 조사 결과 진로탐색은 진로결정과 취업준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 진 로결정 또한 취업준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 진로탐색이 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향에서 진로결정의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 이는 진로탐색 활동을 향상시킴으로써 구체적인 진로결정과 적극적인 취업준비행동을 할 수 있음을 나타냈고, 대학생의 취업에 대한 어려움과 높은 장 벽에 따라 대학에 입학하여 전공이 정해진 저학년의 시점에 진로탐색과 동시 취업준비를 시작해야하는 것을 의미함으로 입학에서부터 졸업하기까지 전 학년에 걸쳐 모두 공통적으로 취업에 어려움을 겪고 있음을 시사한 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 이와 같은 결과는 기존 연구가 취업준비행동과 관련하여 진로결 정 관련 요인을 설명하는 변수로 성격, 성별과 같은 개인적 특성이 선행 연구들에서 주로 사용되어져 왔지만 급속한 사회적 변화와 극심한 취업난 속에서 개인적 특성이 직업을 선택 하거나 진로를 결정하기 보다는, 직업에 대한 이해를 통한 진로 결정이 취업준비행동과 같은 현실적 측면에서 구체적이며 실 제적인 활동을 촉진시킬 수 있음을 시사한다. 이로써 대학생의 진로탐색은 진로결정과 취업준비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐 취업준비행동을 실행하게 되는 요인임을 확인시켜 주었으며, 진로탐색에 있어 진로결정에 따른 부분 매개효과를 실증해 준 것으로 평가할 수 있다.
