Female adventurous Narrative in the Korean Old Novel are said to have two types. One is about hardships that are expelled from the family or escaping to remain faithful for herself. The other is about heroine in male suit with military force. and are the very example of ecah type. But Female adventures in is another case. It’s different from both of them. ChoOkyon and SeokGawol were special female characters who became Ascetics at . They’ve started their adventure with selecting leaving home, but neither they stop their adventure for themselves nor come back their home. It was possible for hers to cross the border of a moral standard and to deny compulsion on women. They could occupied the place of minority through Desertion, which could continue to adventure as appropriating it. Finally ChoOkyon could redeem herself from suffering at home, but SeokGawol was liberated by the helping Master Cho.

여성 모험 서사는 자발적 守節逃走나 강제적 축출 등 집 밖에서의 ‘고난’을 겪는 이야기와 男裝 武力 영웅으로 출세하여 ‘명예’를 얻는 이야기로 대별되는데, <숙향전>과 <방한림전>을 각각의 대표적인 사례로 들 수 있다. <임화정연>의 여성 인물 조옥연과 석가월의 모험은 특별하다. 두 여성은 여도사가 되기 위해 모험을 시작했고, 모험이 중단되거나 다시 가정으로 복귀하는 일이 없다는 점에서 다른 작품과 차이를 보인다. 이들이 당대 여성에게 요구되던 線 혹은 磁場을 넘어 ‘脫走’했기 때문에 만들어진 차이이다. 모험을 통해 탈주함으로써 이들은 ‘소수자’의 위치를 占有할 수 있었으며, 소수자성을 專有함으로써 자신들의 모험을 방해받지 않고 지속할 수 있었다. 그 탈주의 궁극에서 조옥연은 구원되었으며, 석가월은 비로소 해방되었다.
