This study aims to examine if Person In The Rain (PITR) can be used as a tool to understand romantic relationship satisfaction of university students, by analyzing the characteristics of response to PITR depending on the romantic relationship satisfaction of university students. This study targeted 290 freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior-year students from three four-year universities in the central area and as research tools, a PITR drawing test and romantic relationship satisfaction scale were used. For data analysis, generally the cross-tabulation analysis was conducted. The study results are as follows. First, the characteristics of response to the stress index depending on romantic relationship satisfaction of university students showed significant differences in the intensity of rain, shape of rain and intensity of the wind. Second, the characteristics of response to the stress coping resource index depending on romantic relationship satisfaction showed significant differences in the number of direct protections, shape of face, size of figure and nude figure. Third, the characteristics of response to the Post Drawing Inventory (PDI) index depending on romantic relationship satisfaction showed significant differences in the degree of getting wet with rain, persons of drawings, age of persons, moods of persons, things needed for persons and feelings of drawings. These study results demonstrate that the PITR drawing test can be used as a tool to examine romantic relationship satisfaction of university students.

본 연구는 대학생의 이성관계 만족도에 따른 빗속의 사람(PITR) 그림검사의 반응특성을 통하여 대학생의 이성관계를 파악할 수 있는 검사도구로 빗속의 사람이 활용 가능한지 알 아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 수도권에 소재한 4년제 대학교 3개교의 1-4학년 290명으로, 연구도구는 빗속의 사람 그림검사, 이성관계 만족도 척도를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 교차분 석을 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 대학생의 이성관계 만족도에 따른 스트레스 지표 반응특성 은 비의 세기, 비의 모양, 바람의 세기에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 이성관계 만족도 에 따른 스트레스 대처자원 지표 반응특성은 직접 보호물의 수, 얼굴 모습, 인물 크기, 나체 인물상에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 셋째, 이성관계 만족도에 따른 PDI 지표 반응특성은 비에 젖은 정도, 그림 속 사람, 사람의 나이, 사람의 기분, 사람에게 필요한 것, 그림의 느낌 에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통하여 빗속의 사람 그림검사가 대학생의 이성관계를 파악하는 검사도구로 활용 가능성이 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
