This study is a test study conducted to examine the effects that participation in volunteer activities at sports events for the disabled have on the perceptions, receptive attitudes, and physical activity values of university students regarding the disabled. Research subjects were attending B University of A city and they were limited to male and female university students who have completed volunteer work-related liberal arts courses. The participating group consisted of 183 volunteers in sports events for the disabled and the control group consisted of 196 volunteers in facilities for the disabled. Analysis of Covariance was conducted on the two groups using the SPSS 25.0K statistics program with measurement item pre-values as covariates. Research results were as follows. First, it was shown that participation in volunteer activities at sports events for the disabled showed significant decreases compared to the control group in the factors of tension regarding contact and rejection towards living with the disabled, which are sub-factors of perceptions and receptive attitudes regarding the disabled and with perception factors regarding receptive attitudes towards the disabled and the work abilities of the disabled, significant increases were shown compared to the control group. Second, it was shown that participation in volunteer activities at sports events for the disabled showed significant increases compared to the control group in physical, social, and cognitive values, which are all sub-factors of physical activity values.

이 연구는 장애인스포츠대회의 자원봉사활동 참여가 대학생들이 지각하는 장애인 인식 및 수용태도와 체육활동 가치에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위한 실험연구이다. 연구의 대상은 A시에 소재한 B대학교에 재학 중이며, 자원봉사 관련 교양과목을 수강한 대학생 남녀로 한정하였다. 참여집단은 장애인스포츠대회 자원봉사자 183명으로 구성하고, 비교집 단은 장애인 관련 시설 자원봉사자 196명으로 구성하였다. SPSS 25.0K 통계프로그램을 이용하여 두 집단을 대상으로 측정 항목의 사전 값을 공변인으로 하는 공분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인스포츠대회 에 자원봉사활동 참여가 장애인 인식 및 수용태도 하위요인 중 접촉에 대한 긴장과 장애인과의 생활에 대한 거부 요인에서 비교집단에 비해 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며, 장애인에 대한 수용태도와 장애인의 업무능력에 대한 인식 요인 에서는 비교집단에 비해 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인스포츠대회에 자원봉사활동 참여가 체육활동 가치 하위요인 중 신체적, 사회적, 인지적 가치 모두 요인에서 비교집단에 비해 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다.
