The purpose of this study is to find how acquaintances’ illegal gambling behavior influences adolescents’ illegal gambling behavior and to look into the moderating effect of cyber crime behavior on their relationship. To achieve that, the online panel of 795 adolescents aged 13 to 19 was utilized as study subjects. In order to find causal relations between variables clearly, the short-term longitudinal research was conducted twice at an interval of six months. The number of seniors and juniors doing illegal gambling, a level of five types of illegal gambling-lottery, sports toto, betting game, internet sports toto, and internet casino-and the frequency of cyber crime behavior were surveyed two times. As analyses, correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted. To find the moderating effect, Hayes’s PROCESS macro was applied. As an independent variable, acquaintances’ illegal gambling at the 1st point of time was set, and as a dependent variable, adolescents’ illegal gambling behavior at the 2nd point of time was set. Moderating variables were analyzed with cyber crime behaviors at the 1st and 2nd points of time and the mean. As a result, the more acquaintances’ illegal gamblers at the 1st point of time was the higher frequency of illegal gambling behavior at the 2nd point of time was. This process was moderated by each one of the cyber crime behaviors at the 1st and 2nd points of time.

본 연구에서는 주변인의 불법도박행동이 청소년의 불법도박행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이들의 관계에서 사이버 범죄의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 13세-19세의 청소년 온라인 패널 795명을 연구대상으로 하였으며 변인들 간의 인과관계를 명확하게 파악하기 위해 6개월 간격의 총 2회의 단기종단연구가 진행되었다. 2시점에 걸쳐 불법도박을 하는 선후배의 수, 복권, 스포츠 토토, 돈내기 게임, 인터넷 스포츠 토토, 인터넷 카지노 등 5개 유형의 불법도박경험 정도, 사이버 범죄 행동의 빈도를 조사하였다. 상관분석과 회귀분석이 실시되었으며 조절효과를 살펴보기 위해 Hayes의 PROCESS macro가 활용되었다. 독립변인은 1차 시점의 주변인의 불법도박, 종속변인은 2차 시점의 청소년의 불법도박행동으로 설정하였으며 조절변인은 사이버 범죄행동의 1차, 2차 그리고 평균값으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 1차 시점의 주변인 불법도박자 수가 많을수록 2차 시점의 불법도박행동 빈도 수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며 이 과정을 1차, 2차 시점의 사이버 범죄행동이 각각 조절하는 것으로 확인되었다.
