This study aims to investigate the causative relationships among sports instructors’ teaching passion as perceived by elementary school students, students’ learning attitude, and sociality as well as the mediating effects of learning attitude. To this end, data from 251 elementary school students were analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM). First, harmonious passion positively predicted learning attitude while obsessive passion negatively predicted learning attitude. Second, harmonious passion positively predicted sociality while obsessive passion negatively predicted sociality. Third, learning attitude had a positive effect on sociality. Fourth, learning attitude had a partial mediating effect. In other words, perceiving high harmonious passion in the instructor induces students to demonstrate active learning attitude, which in turn increase their sociality, but perceiving high obsessive passion in the instructor induces students to demonstrate negative learning attitude, which may hinder developing sociality.

이 연구는 초등학생들이 지각한 방과 후 스포츠강사의 지도열정과 수업태도, 사회성의 인과관계를 규명하는데 목적 이 있다. 목적 달성을 위해 초등학생 251명의 자료를 사용하여 구조방정식모델 분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 조화열정은 정적, 강박열정은 부적 영향으로 수업태도를 예측하였다. 둘째, 조화열정은 정적, 강박열정은 부적 방향으로 사 회성을 예측하였다. 셋째, 수업태도는 사회성에 정적인 영향력을 보였다. 넷째, 수업태도에 대한 부분 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이는 조화열정을 높게 지각하면 적극적인 수업태도를 보이면서 사회성을 향상시키지만, 강박열정을 높 게 지각하면 부정적인 수업태도에 따라 사회성 함양에 방해가 될 수 있다.
