The purpose of the study is to understand the spaces described in the author’s works and their formative characteristics. The study is also conducted to research conceptional spaces, encompassing a duality between reality and the ideal, and to conceive of means by which to speculate on these spaces by analyzing works which form a bond with the space through experiences in memories. Human beings, who are the main actors of these experiences, maintain bonds with these spaces throughout their lives, and they also engage in mutual coexistence with them. The spaces described in this work are experiential spaces which contain the subjective emotions of the author’s memories. The experiential spaces are described by the works, such that subjective and conceptional spaces are formed. Thus, the interactive meanings between reality and the ideal would be contained in double expressions between inside and outside. Works through photos are created to recover the vanishing lost memories, and selected images describe the restructuring of the spaces based on superposition and drawing. The experiential meanings and action of thinking of the spaces are expanded by formative expressions, and the experiences in the relationship with the space embed variable items in a continuous manner.

본 논문은 연구자의 작품에 표현된 공간의 의미와 조형적 특징에 대한 고찰이다. 현실과 이상의 이중성이 담긴 관념적 공간을 알아보고, 기억 속 경험을 통한 공간과의 유대를 가지는 작품들을 분석해 봄으로써 공간을 사유하는 방식을 살펴보고자 한다. 경험주체인 인간은 삶이라는 과정을 통해 공간과의 유대를 지속하며 상호 공존한다. 작품에서 표현되는 공간은 연구자의 기억 속 주관적인 감정이 내재되어 있는 경험 공간이다. 경험 공간을 작업으로 표현하여 주관적이고 관념적인 공간을 형성하고, 내부와 외부의 이중적인 표현 속에서 현실과 이상이 상호작용하는 의미를 담고자한다. 작업은 사진을 통해 사라져 가는 것들에 대한 잃어버린 기억을 회복시키고, 선별된 이미지를 드로잉과 중첩을 기반으로 재구성하는 공간을 표현한다. 조형적인 표현의 과정을 통해 공간에 대한 사유와 경험적 의미를 넓히고, 공간과의 유대 속에서 접하는 경험은 삶의 과정에서 가변적이고 지속적임을 내재하고자 한다.
