In recent years, Korean church has encountered a critical situation, and it is an objective reality that cannot be negated. While pastors of local churches strive to keep the current numbers, they have not yet overcome the limitations. Then, a key question to ask is, how can these limitations be overcome, and a new turning point begin? This study, as it is mentioned in the title, proposes to explore possible means to overcome the limitations through a missiological understanding of barriers in evangelizing to members of a smallest homogeneous unit. The scope of this study is the same as the potential participants in the presentation, “A Study on Evangelization Strategies to Invite Family Members to Church,” and the argument of this study is developed within that scope. This study orients to interpret the thesis from ontological understanding rather than phenomenological approach. Moreover, this study defines family members as those who actually reside together, and based on such definition, the study aims to analyze some barriers that are present in evangelizing to those members. The barriers that are present among those family members include lack of understanding, the fact that religious Christians are challenges for evangelization, secularization and post-modernism worldviews, identification within homogeneous groups, and limitations towards perfection. The author argues that, in order to overcome the barriers in evangelization, it is important to break the barriers that potential recipients of evangelizations feel towards the Gospel. To do so, the principles of identification-that are beyond homogenization of principles, frameworks, and belief systems that potential recipients of evangelization hold-should be applied. Regarding that, the author categorizes a new paradigm for potential evangelization to MSHU(Members of a Smallest Homogeneous Unit) into three sections: First by approaching as a meaningful other (which is beyond egoistic altruism), secondly by approaching to the MSHU with a paradigm of mutual understanding, and third by approaching to MSHU through a pursuit of perfection. By pursuing these three paradigms proposed, this study aims to contribute to a beginning of a new era of revolution.

현재 한국 교회의 현실은 객관적 관점에서 볼 때 중대한 위기를 맞이했다고 볼 수 있다. 지역 교회 목회자들은 수적인 면에서 현상 유지를 위해서 부단히 노력하지만, 이 한계성을 극복하지 못하고 있다. 그럼 어떻게 해야 이러한 한계성을 극복하고 새로운 전환기를 맞이할 수 있을까? 라는 질문은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 제목에서 언급한 것처럼 동질집단(Homogeneous units) 최소단위 구성원 전도 장벽에 대한 선교신학적 이해를 통해서 이러한 한계성 극복을 연구하고자 한다. 연구 범위는 주제 발표 연구 논문에서 설문 조사 대상자로 한정한 범위와 동일하게 설정하고, 그 범위 안에서 논문의 논지를 논증해 가고자 한다. 그리고 연구 방향은 연구 범위에 대한 현상학적 이해보다는 존재론적 이해의 접근을 통해 논지를해석하고자 한다. 또한 본 논문에서 가정의 구성원은 실재적으로 함께 동거하는 구성원으로 한정하고, 그들에게 나타난 복음 전도의 장벽이해를 연구한다. 이들에게서 나타나는 장벽들은 타자에 대한 이해 부족, 종교적 그리스도인이 복음 전도의 장벽이라는 사실, 세속주의와 포스트모더니즘의 세계관, 동질집단에서의 동일화, 완전화에 대한 한계성이다. 연구자는 복음 전도 장벽을 넘어가기 위해서는 복음의 대상자가 복음에 대해 느끼는 장벽을 허물어야 한다고 본다. 그러기 위해서는 전도 대상자가 가지고 있는 가치들, 준거의 틀, 신앙의 체계들 등에 대한 동질화를넘어선 동일화 원리가 적용되어야 한다. 연구자는 그런 면에 있어서 동질집단 최소 단위 구성원 전도의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있는 새로운 패러다임을3가지 영역으로 구분해 본다. 첫째는 의미 있는 타자(이기적 이타주의를뛰어넘은)로서 구성원에게 다가가기, 둘째는 상호 이해 패러다임 속에서의 최소단위 구성원에게 다가가기, 셋째는 완전화 추구로서 구성원에게 다가가기이다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 세 가지 형식의 패러다임을 추구하면 새로운 변혁의 시대를 맞이할 것으로 기대한다.
