In the process of building and establishing ancient Japanese government, the power-oriented movement of the Fujiwara clan which was individual and unrivaled was definite and its influence was considerable. Accordingly, this study would examine that the monopolization of power by the specific families of the Fujiwara clan formed certain perception or idea to the Japanese society. In Ōkagami (大鏡) and others, it could be found out that there were the view of rebuke and reproach on the Fujiwara family being in the position of power and the view of people pointing out the resentful and discordant stories surrounding their political warfare. Most of all, it would be also identified that under the circumstance of the endless political warfare for the monopolization of power in Japanese society, various types of corrupted and treacherous spiritual world, like curse or vindictive spirits was pervaded. Also, under the universalized phenomenon of an extreme idea of retaliation, it could be seen that the authority itself on the highest sovereignty in Japan including the Emperor was considerably deficient.

일본고대 정권의 수립과 확립과정에서는 개별적이고 독보적인 후지와라씨(藤原氏)의 권력적 행보가 확연하고, 그 영향력이 컸다. 이에 본고에서는 후지와라씨 특정가문에 의한 권력 독점 현상이, 일본사회에 어떠한 인식이나 관념을 형성하게 하였는가 하는 점을 살펴보았다.󰡔大鏡󰡕등에서는 권력자 후지와라씨 집안을 바라보는 질책과 비난의 시선, 정권 싸움을 둘러싼 원망과 불화의 사연들을 지적하는 등의 세간의 시선을 확인할 수 있었다. 무엇보다도 권력 독점을 위한 끊임없는 정쟁 속에서 일본사회에는 저주나, 원령과 같은 각종의 부정적이고 음적인 정신세계가 만연해졌음이 확인가능하였다. 극단적인 보복관념의 일상화 현상 속에, 천황권을 비롯한 최상위의 권력 그 자체에 대한 권위의식은 상당히 미비하였음을 알 수 있었다.
