- From the point of view that has been considered the views on life and death of Japanese, we analyzed basic mathematical understanding of a class of students at our university. Also we made a brief discussion with respect to one case of learning content about the current state of arithmetic in elementary school. As a result, it was found that about half of college students were worried about formula calculation and formulating relatively simple problems. Considering the case of elementary school, it may be insufficient to consider the connection between university and high school.
