This study is designed to propose a Reading-Writing instruction method for cultivating the convergent thinking. The definition of human being that is universally accepted has been faltering by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Students should reflect on the definition of a human being through a basic education process and renew self-identity. Therefore, it is undoubtedly necessary to question themselves about 'What is a human being?' and to follow the Reading-Writing process of pondering over the boundary of a human being. Thus, this study proposes a Reading-Writing teaching method of pondering over the boundary of the human being as a way of cultivating the convergent thinking in writing course of universal liberal arts. In a changing society, it is required for students to recognize a situation that the boundary of human being has been wavering through a 'reading' process. First of all, through a reading process such as novels and philosophy books and criticism of movies, students go through a process of pondering over the boundary of human. Afterward, students actively define the boundary of a human being and experience a process of cooperation writing to think 'What is a human touch?'. University is the place that is educational and irreplaceable despite the periodical change. Therefore, cooperation writing is essential to increase mutual understanding by sharing their opinion. This manuscript suggests a specific method and example of writing that was used in Reading- Writing teaching in the actual course, thereby it is confirmed that pondering over the boundary of human meets the aim of the convergent writing course. The method proposed in this study correspond with the needs of the times resulted from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Furthermore, this method is closely connected to a matter for 'self-examination' which basic university education should necessarily handle. Hence, this study is regarded as significant.

본 연구는 대학의 기초 교양 글쓰기 수업에서 융복합적 사고를 함양할 수 있는 읽기-쓰기 교 육 방안을 제시하고자 기획되었다. 4차 산업혁명은 보편적으로 통용되던 인간의 정의를 흔들고 있다. 대학생들은 기초 교육 과정을 통해 이 문제를 성찰함으로써 자기 정체성을 갱신해나갈 필요 가 있다. 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 ‘인간이란 무엇인가’를 질문하고, 인간의 경계를 사유하는 읽기-쓰 기의 과정은 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학 교양 글쓰기 교육에서 융복합적 사유를 함 양하기 위한 방안으로, ‘인간의 경계를 성찰하는 읽기-쓰기 수업 방안’을 제시한다. 변화하는 사회에서 인간의 경계가 흔들리고 있는 상황을 ‘읽기’ 과정을 통해 학생들 스스로 인 식하게 할 필요가 있다. 우선 소설, 철학서, 영화비평 읽기를 통해 인간의 경계를 사유하는 과정 을 거친다. 이후 학생 주도적으로 인간의 경계를 정의내리고, ‘인간다움이란 무엇인가’를 사유하 는 협동글쓰기의 과정이 이어진다. 대학은 시대적 변화에도 불구하고 대체될 수 없는 교육의 장 을 제공하는 공간이다. 따라서 학생들이 의견 교환 과정을 통해 상호 이해력을 증진할 수 있다는 점에서 협동글쓰기는 필수적이다. 본고에서는 실제 수업에서 활용한 읽기-쓰기 교육의 구체적 방법과 글쓰기의 예를 제시하여, 인간의 경계를 사유하는 과정이 융복합 글쓰기 수업의 취지에 부응함을 확인하였다. 본 연구가 제시하는 방안은 4차 산업혁명이라는 시대적 요구에 부응하는 동시에, 대학 기초교육에서 필수 적으로 다루어야 하는 자기성찰의 문제와 긴밀한 연관성을 지닌다는 점에서 의미를 지닌다고 할 수 있다.
