For Kotaro, poetry is a poetic expression of a person’s ‘life’ and ‘energy’, nature and symbolic embodied nature. Although ‘literature’ is only a nature of poetry, it has been called ‘symbolic’ or ‘spirit’ or ‘life’ for its important meaning, and identified it as a basic concept that forms sculpture and literature. His rectitude is shaped by four seasons. In “Chiekosyou” we are asked to examine how Chieko is drawn by the four seasons. It is composed of different genres of poetry and Dana and prose, and depicts the human spirit by common sanctions called ‘Snowpants’, a symbol of Japanese tradition. Specifically, two contrasting types of traditional literature - lyric, epic and dramatic - personal lyric and impersonal plays unfold along with spring, summer and fall, which symbolize Japanese tradition. A common characteristic in the writing is the sense of language as a ‘living language’ by a sense of shape. At the end, the margin of the poem, which appears as a literary space, forms a white mold with a winter symbolizing the modern times of the West, connects the text of the unit price and prose with the cover, and converts it into a literary world that represents the distance between physical and psychological time, forming a newly unified space sculpture. “Chiekosyou” is a collection of beautiful art love poems that are made up of life, nature, and beauty by the four seasons.

고타로에게 시(詩)란 인간의 ‘생(生)’과 ‘기(氣)’ 같은 시정신(시혼)을 표현하는 것으로, 자연 및 자연성을 내재한 것이 시적 대상이 된다. ‘문학성’은 시의 속성에 불과하지만 중요한 의미에 대해서는 ‘시혼’ 또는 ‘시정신’, ‘생(명)’이라 칭하고 이를 조각과 문학을 형성하는 기초개념으로 파악했다. 그의 시정신은 사계절로 형성되어 있다. 󰡔지에코쇼󰡕에서는 사계에 의해 지에코가 어떻게 그려져 있는지 고찰해 보도록 한다. 여기서는 시와 단카와 산문이라는 각각 다른 장르로 구성하였고, 일본 전통의 상징물인 ‘소나무’라는 공통 제재에 의해 인간의 정념을 그려내고 있다. 구체적으로 내용에서는 서정과 서사와 극이라는 전통 문학, 즉 개인적인 서정과 비인격적인 극이라는 대조적인 두 종류가 일본 전통을 상징하는 봄, 여름, 가을과 함께 전개된다. 이때 글에 나타나는 공통된 특색은 조형감각에 의해 ‘살아 있는 언어’로서의 언어감각이다. 마지막에 문학공간으로 나타나는 시의 여백이 서양 근대를 상징하는 겨울로 하얀 주형틀을 형성해 단카와 산문의 본문을 표지와 연결 지으며 물리적이고 심리적인 시간상의 거리를 나타내는 문학세계로 전환되어 새로이 통일된 공간 조형물을 형성한다. 󰡔지에코쇼󰡕는 사계에 의해 생명과 자연과 미(美)를 조형한 아름다운 예술사랑 시집이라 할 수 있다.

光太郎にとって詩は人間の‘生’や‘気’のような詩精神(詩魂)を表することで、自然及び自然性を持ったものが詩的な対象となる。‘文学性’は詩の属性に過ぎないが、重要な意味に関しては‘詩魂’や‘詩精神’または‘いのち’と呼ばれており、これを彫刻や文学等の基礎概念としてとらえていた。彼の詩精神を形成するキーワードは四季である。したがって󰡔智恵子抄󰡕では四季によって智恵子がどのように描かれているのかを考察してみた。この集は詩と短歌と散文という様々なジャンルからなっており、日本の伝統のシンボルである‘松’が共通題材に用いられ人間の情念を描いていると思われる。具体的に内容の方では抒情と叙事と劇という伝統文学、個人的な抒情と非人格的な劇という対照的な二種類が日本の伝統を表わす春、夏、秋に伴って展開されている。この場合彼の文に表れる共通な特色は、造形感覚によって‘生きている言語’としての言語感覚である。最後に文学空間として現れる詩の余白が西洋の近代を象徴する冬で白い鋳型を形成することによって、短歌と散文の本文を表紙に結びつけて物理的、心理的な時間上の距離を表わす文学の世界へ転換させたと思われる。それで󰡔智恵子抄󰡕は四季によって生命や自然や美を造形した美しい芸術愛の詩集であるといえる。
