The purpose of this research was to provide an effective Korean culture teaching Method for Thai learners. we examined the concept of language and culture. Also compare and analyzing Korean culture to Thai culture by using The differences arising from culture were categorized into five groups according to Nida’s theory of the five levels of culture problems as follows: ecological culture, material culture, social culture, religious culture, linguistic culture. Two practical solutions suggested in this paper are: 1) Korean culture education principle, and 2) imitation stages. The culture education principle has four required procedures. The first is to describe the Korean culture background thoroughly. Secondly, to educate the Thai Korean language learners of the culture differences between Korean and Thai. The third procedure is more detailed explanations in case the culture word. Last of all, to have Thai learners participate in drama and role play activities to stimulate and enhance the assimilation of language This paper concludes with the five different imitation stages. These are: 1) The introduction stage; 2) The present and explanation stage; 3) The practice; 4) The activity stage; and 5) The wrap-up stage. and provide sample of Korean culture teaching Method in topic “Dolchanchi”.

본 연구는 태국인을 대상으로 한국어 교육을 실시함에 있어, 효과적인 문화 교육 방 안을 모색하는 것에 그 의의가 있다. 이를 위하여 Nida(1964)의 번역 이론을 살피고, 문 화차이가 영향을 미치는 생태학적 문화 (ecological culture), 물질적 문화 (material culture), 사회적 문화 (social culture), 종교적 문화 (religious culture), 그리고 언어적 문화 (linguistic culture) 등의 5가지를 바탕으로 하여 각각 한·태국 문화의 차이를 비 교·분석하였다. 이를 통해 한국과 태국 문화의 유사점과 차이점을 보여줄 수 있다. 더 불어 태국인 학습자를 위한 한국 문화 교육 방안은, 교육 원리를 먼저 제시하는 것으로 제안하고자 한다. 첫째, 목표하는 한국문화에 대한 특징을 분명히 인지시킨다. 둘째, 한·태 문화를 비교하여 유사점과 차이점을 보여준다. 셋째, 양국의 언어에 대응하는 단어가 없을 경우, 문화적 요소를 고려하여 설명한다. 넷째, 학습자의 경험을 바탕으로 문화의 차이에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있도록 한다. 다섯째, 드라마나 역할극 등을 통해 실제상황과 유사한 경험을 제시한다. 또한 문화 교육 방안은 도입-제시·설명—연습-활 용-마무리의 5단계로 구성하였다. 마지막으로 한국 문화교육의 예로서, 한국인의 ‘돌잔 치’ 문화를 제시하고 그에 따른 구체적인 문화 교육 방안을 제시하였다.
